The number of disabled people in China accounts for more than 6% of the country’s total population. However, most ordinary people often need media to trigger their concern. It may be a thrilling accident or a mixed story. People habitually ask: Where are the disabled? But may not care about the answer to the question.

July 21, 2019, The first Jiangsu Disabled E-sports Open Final was held in Nanjing .

This is the second time in the country to have a well-documented disabled e-sports competition. The last disabled e-sports competition was the 2016 “Heroic Heart Disabilities E-sports Competition”, which has been around for 3 years. In the preparatory stage alone, the number of applicants for the first Jiangsu Disabled E-sports Open far exceeded the imagination of the organizers. What made them even more unexpected was that more than 95% of the nearly 1,000 contestants were deaf.
