The Baihetan Hydropower Station is located on the Jinsha River at the junction of Ningnan County, Sichuan Province and Qiaojia County, Yunnan Province. The total installed capacity of the power station is 16 million kilowatts, and a total of 16 independently developed by my country are installed. , The world’s largest single-machine capacity of one million kilowatts of hydroelectric generating units.

The total investment of Baihetan Hydropower Station is 220 billion yuan. The main construction of the main project was fully started in July 2017, and currently 3 units have been put into operationPower generation, all units will be put into production in July 2022. After the power station is fully completed and put into operation, it will become the world’s second largest hydropower station after the Three Gorges Project, with an average power generation capacity of over 62 billion kilowatt-hours for many years.
