The Singapore Financial Technology Festival x Singapore Technology Innovation Week will be unveiled under the English name “SFF x SWITCH” and will be held from November 11th to 15th.
In mid-June this year, the Singapore Monetary Authority (HKMA), the Singapore Enterprise Development Authority (IED) and the Singapore National Research Foundation jointly announced the Singapore FinTech Festival and Singapore Technology Innovation Week ( Singapore Week of Innovation & TeCHnology will be held for the first time this year.
The Chief Financial Technology Officer of the HKMA Sopnendu Mohanty said at the launching ceremony in June this year that the Singapore Financial Technology Festival is the world’s largest financial technology gathering. This year, through cooperation with Singapore Innovation and Technology Week, we can explore the science and technology ecosystem outside of financial technology and showcase innovative and technological achievements that benefit all sectors of society. We are looking forward to participating in our activities in the field of financial technology from all over the world and from many different technology fields. With this opportunity, we will connect with colleagues in the industry and seek cooperation to celebrate the power of technological innovation.

The theme of the first “SFF x SWITCH” is innovation in the fields of financial technology and deep science. “SFF x SWITCH” will focus on a range of activities in five areas: Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering, Urban Solutions and Sustainability, Health and Biomedical Sciences, Services and Digital Economy, and Financial Technology. November 11-13, a three-day conference and exhibition on the theme of “sustainability”, held at Singapore Expo (Singapore Expo)
o On the 11th, the HKMA will host the Global FinTech Hackcelerator finals, where participants will showcase financial industry solutions
o 11-13, businessThe SLINGSHOT 2019 International Deep Entrepreneurship Competition Finals will be held; there will be 100 top global start-ups show their entrepreneurial plans to 200 professional judges
o A three-day “TechInnovation” event will be held on 11-13th; this event aims to connect technology providers with demanders and accelerate technological innovation and commercialization process

The Singapore Financial Technology Festival (SFF) is the world’s largest event dedicated to the field of financial technology. The annual Singapore Financial Technology Festival has become a platform for global financial technology community exchanges. About Singapore Innovation and Technology Week (SWITCH)
Singapore Innovation and Technology Week also started in 2016, jointly organized by the Singapore Enterprise Development Agency, the Singapore National Research Foundation and the Singapore Intellectual Property Corporation. The Technology Innovation Week focuses on research applications in the field of deep science, including advanced manufacturing and engineering, urban solutions and sustainable development, health and biomedical science and services and the digital economy. Singapore Technology Innovation Week provides companies with a platform to recognize new technologies and foster collaboration between technology providers and companies. Participants will also be able to learn more about the current industry ecology through exhibitions, seminars and workshops related to entrepreneurship and technological innovation.

The Singapore Financial Technology Festival and the Singapore Science and Technology Innovation Week are selected for the fourth year of the merger, which is a strong alliance. Both events have been very successful in the past three years, and last year alone, the two events attracted more than 57,000 government and private sector representatives from 130 countries. In 2018, the number of representatives in China was ranked in the top ten of the Singapore Financial Technology Festival and Singapore Technology Innovation Week.
