What is thinking?

Everything can be understood as a system: a startup, a product, a service, or even a football team.

To understand or improve your system, you must first understand each part and how it is connected. All elements of the system are dynamic and interact.

▨ If you can’t see or can’t experience the entire system (ie most cases), you have to create a model.

A simple guide to application thinking:

▨ Determine the lever point. You can adjust these points to adjust the whole.

▨Find patterns and trends. Taking a step back and observing its existing mode of operation, we can solve potential system problems.

▨Understand the nature of the problem. Start with a point at a point and think deeply about the systemic problems associated with it.

Using “six thinking hats” to turn good ideas into great ideas

This is a thinking system designed by psychologist and inventor Edward de Bono in the 1880s, wearing different imaginary “hats” that represent different thinking. Ways and emotions allow people to look at an idea from a different angle each time. This thinking system was originally developed to make meetings more efficient and has since been used as a way to train critical thinking.

▨Blue hat. Also known as management hats. Used to define the outline of an idea at the beginning, and finally to summarize and draw conclusions. You can look at your thoughts from a height of 10,000 feet.

▨ White hat. Look for facts and data. Ask yourself: What is the basic form of this concept? What is its purpose?

▨ yellow hat. Establish the value of the idea: What benefits does it have? Remember to seek truth from facts.

Crimson hat. At this point you can be a bit emotional, see what kind of emotional reaction this idea can stimulate you and others, and think about things other than yourself – if the user has never seen it before, how would they react?

▨ Black hat. Why is this idea not working? Where is the defect? By identifying potential problems, you can eliminate them and develop a more powerful concept.

▨Green hat. Since you are aware of potential problems and defects, how will you solve them? Or have you formed a new idea? As a result, you start a new brainstorm.

Showing human care and improving soft power

Enterprises need to train their internal strengths and strengthen their own moats. However, it is also necessary to promote their own stories in an appropriate way while improving their hard power.

We often see many companies want to communicate externally.Get more understanding and support from the public. Through this kind of measure, some companies have achieved good feedback, but some of them have been unsatisfactory, which makes many leaders confused. Why the same countermeasures have different effects.

In fact, when telling a company story, business leaders need more than just advice from professionals. The humanistic care that leaders show can sometimes win the public’s understanding and recognition, and establish a corporate image. Better telling the story of the company has a positive impact.

Business leaders can increase this soft power by encouraging management empathy, increasing gender diversity in the team, and broadly absorbing the opinions of different employees. Let yourself and management be more comfortable with the public.
