The latest data from Canalys shows that the global PC market has achieved its first growth in nearly eight years in 2019. Including desktops, laptops and workstations, a total of 268 million units were shipped throughout the year, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%. However, the growth is mainly concentrated in three head vendors, accounting for two-thirds of global PC shipments. p>
The three major vendors are Lenovo, Hewlett-Packard, and Dell. For the full year of 2019, Lenovo ranked first in shipments with a market share of 24.2%. Hewlett-Packard and Dell followed closely behind, with year-on-year growth rates exceeding market averages. Apple and Acer are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.
