After the publication of “Big Country, Da Min”, I thank the readers for their love, which has produced some repercussions in various circles.

Many old friends approached me, hoping that I could take the time to write down the areas not mentioned in the book one by one. But I have always had a characteristic, that is, I do not write easily. If you write a pen, you must have a strong desire to write. You don’t need to write an article that says “Strongly talk about sorrow for new words.”

In June of this year, Wang Daqi, a dog, published an essay “Lanzhou, the Fierceness and Elegance of the Northwest”, which was published on the WeChat public account of Zhigang Think Tank. Although the article is small, there are many readers. Many people from Lanzhou, especially young people who are drifting away, leave a message at the end of the article late at night. The sentiment of their hometown is very sad.

With this, I can’t help but think of the experience of living in the Northwest as a young man, the golden years of our generation.

This article is from WeChat official account:Zhenghe Island (ID: zhenghedao), author: Wang Zhigang (strategic thinker, intellectual think tank Gang founder), head Figure from: vision China

1. The most worthy “big” area in China is the Northwest.

In 1978, when I was 23 years old, I was also traveling along this line from the banks of the Wujiang River in the Wumeng Mountains, heading northward towards the northwestern part of the upper reaches of the Yellow River to study.

That long journey is still fresh in my memory to this day. Starting from my hometown of Qianxi, passing through the rugged mountain roads, I took a full day of bus to Guiyang; then I took a green train from Guiyang to Chengdu for a day and a night. After arriving in Chengdu, I hurried to spend a day with friends and relatives , The next day, I will take another day to go to Baoji via the Baocheng line. When I get to Baoji, I will change to a steam locomotive, and I will arrive in Lanzhou one day and one night. It took four days and four nights to complete the whole journey.

At that time, it was a torment to take the train. The carriages filled with people like canned sardines were often hard or unseat. Living in the car for several days and nights has made me feel sick when I hear the food on the train.

It was the first time I walked out of the mountains of Guizhou, but I never thought that I would walk into a more barren “barren land”.

Although Guizhou has deep mountains and big ditches and traffic jams, at least it has beautiful mountains and rivers and abundant products. In the northwest, the vegetation on the ground is sparse, the hills are desolate and yellow, and the sky is full of yellow sand when the wind blows. Coupled with the fact that the Northwestern diet has a lot of coarse grains and noodles, the school conditions are very limited, which has caused me to suffer from indigestion from time to time. “Surrounded” and “full of stomach acid” have become my first impression of Northwest China.

In 1983, only bicycles came and went to the Yellow River Iron Bridge in Lanzhou

But in those days, what corresponded to a flat stomach was a great spiritual fulfillment.

At that time, Lanzhou University was a prestigious university in the northwest, with a very high admission score. I was transferred to the Department of Politics and Economics of Lanzhou University when the journalism department of Peking University I applied for happened to undergo a major adjustment that year. In the context of “good people, three lines immediately”, Lanzhou University has undertaken a large number of teachers, talents and skills transferred from the eastern region. At that time, the old principal Liu Bing was transferred from Tsinghua University. At that time, the Lanzhou University was really a gathering of talents and masters. In youthAt the age of writing, our group of young people are studying and studying in the hot land of the northwest, and the difficult conditions have become the motivation to concentrate on studying.

In March 1978, Lanzhou University won 23 scientific research achievements at the National Science Conference

There is also a very interesting anecdote, and I still can’t help but look back now.

When I was young, I just arrived in Lanzhou. Because I was not adapted to the local arid climate, I often had nosebleeds, which made me very distressed. It happened during a summer shower, and I rushed out of the house excitedly, wanting to breathe the moist air that had been missing for a while.

Unexpectedly, not long after I left, I heard my classmates yell at me: Wang Zhigang, come back quickly!

I was enjoying the “slanting wind and drizzle”, wondering why I would go back?

But they couldn’t help but rush over and drag me back into the house. Only then did I realize that my whole body was yellow and white, and I had become a “zebra”.

The classmates roared with laughter, and then I realized that the rain in the northwest is “mud rain”. When the amount of sand in the air is too high, the rain will bring the sand to the ground with the rain, so the locals It’s too late to hide when it rains, let alone “drenched in the rain” with excitement like me.

Though these are jokes, they do reflect the harsh natural conditions in the Northwest. It also made me from green Guizhou the first experience of what is drought.

Another result of the dry continental climate is the distinctive landscape and natural scenery.

In my opinion, the most worthy of “big” in China is the Northwest.

The Great Northwest carries all the Chinese people’s imagination of majesty and majesty from ancient times to the present. The vastness and roughness of the Gobi, the vastness and beauty of the grasslands, The majestic and majestic snow-capped mountains, the mighty rivers and lakes. These extreme natural scenery is everywhere in the northwest.

This kind of vigorous and vigorous Northwestern China can be said to broaden my horizons to some extent and sharpen my bosom, so many years later, as a reporter of Xinhua News Agency, when I walked the world, I could write something The things that are slightly conspicuous and spirited, in my opinion, are all thanks to the life experience in the Northwest.

The ancient quatrains mostly come from the frontier fortresses, and are more comfortable with the misty and rainy Jiangnan.

The bitter wind and rain in the northwest have honed me, and the vast landscape in the northwest has shaped me. Especially the experience of studying at University of Lanzhou has profoundly affected my way of thinking and the perspective of the pattern of looking at problems. This made it possible for me to see through the correlations behind complex things and take all the seemingly irrelevant things. get through.

Of course, in recent years, the drought and harsh natural conditions in the northwest have also been gratifyingly improved. Invited by several old friends this year, I returned to the northwestern land and was pleasantly surprised to find that the originally bare hills around Lanzhou City had turned green, and the loess and Gobi of thousands of gullies disappeared, replaced by green mountains and green waters, forests and grasslands. . This kind of returning land to forest and large-scale ecological reconstruction is undoubtedly a long-term performance. It is very necessary for the sustainable development of a region.

2. Dunhuang, Dunhuang

Mr. Ji Xianlin once had a wonderful view. His elderly think:

“There are only four cultural systems in the world that have a long history, vast area, self-contained, and far-reaching influence-China, India, Greece, and Islam, and there is only one place where these four cultural systems converge, which is Dunhuang and Western Regions in China.”

This view of his can be said to be a sharp outline of Dunhuang’s role on the ancient Silk Road.

The brilliance of Dunhuang art was the first to construct my entire imagination of the prosperous Western civilization in the Hexi Corridor.

In 1982, when I just graduated from Lanzhou University, I was also eager to study in Japan due to the influence of the “Eastern Study Abroad Fever” at that time. Although I learned some Japanese in college, my overall “listening, listening, reading, and writing” level, especially speaking, is still relatively weak. But at that time, domestic Japanese teachers were not only in short supply, but their level was worrying. So where to strengthen Japanese?

My inspiration flashed, thinking that there were many Japanese tourists from Gansu to China at that time, so I went directly to the international travel agency to apply for a tour guide and receive Japanese tour groups so that I could get in touch with the best language environment. In current fashionable words, it is “immersive experience learning.”

In the process of receiving Japanese tourists, I was surprised to find that compared with the Chinese at that time, the Japanese were much more interested and enthusiastic about the Hexi Corridor. Even at that time, travel agencies specially opened a “Silk Road” travel route for Japanese tourists. The route covered today’s Wuwei, Zhangye, Jiuquan, and Dunhuang, and the most popular among them was Dunhuang.

Only then did I know that Dunhuang has long become an extremely precious treasure house of world history and culture in the hearts of Japanese academic circles and the public. In 1959, Japanese Sinologist Yasushi Inoue published the historical and cultural novel “Dunhuang”, which became popular and set off a long-lasting Dunhuang fever in Japan. However, due to the tension between China and Japan, it was not until the end of the 1970s that Japanese tourists could actually reach the artistic mystery of the ancient legend described in the novel-Dunhuang.

In the process of accompanying Japanese tourists to Dunhuang many times, I was deeply impressed by the exquisiteness of Dunhuang art. In the Mogao Grottoes, the murals of the past dynasties are endless, layer upon layer, after thousands of years of wind and rain, they are still colorful and brilliant as a galaxy. These murals are dominated by religious themes, and most of them are paintings of classics, involving landscapes, myths, characters, animals, decorations, and also themes related to secular life. The appearance, clothes, and decorations of the characters are all lifelike. The shapes of the dynasties are different and the momentum is magnificent. It is simply an epic carved on the wall.

Rebound Pipa, Cave 112 of Mogao Grottoes

Since ancient times, there have been only two driving forces for the creation of great art, either from the power of the emperor or the power of religion. The former is “I want to do it” and the latter is “I want to do it.” When religion changes “I want to do” into “I do,” the most powerful belief in human nature is released, and great art is born. Mogao GrottoesThis is true of the Taj Mahal and the same is true of the Sistine murals.

From the first time I visited Dunhuang when I was studying, and then to Dunhuang many times by chance, Dunhuang has long become a cultural symbol that symbolizes the Northwest in my heart.

In 1979, the song and dance drama “Flower Rain on the Silk Road” rehearsed by the Gansu Provincial Song and Dance Troupe was based on the legend of the Silk Road and the wall paintings of the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang. Once it was performed, it became a national sensation. And the content reflected in the play is just a small part of Dunhuang’s many cultural history books. It is like three thousand weak waters, and only a scoop has been taken to shock the world. Artists such as Zhang Daqian, just copy a few minutes in the cave, it is enough to become famous and famous all over the world.

At this point, I seem to be walking through the sky and yellow sand, and I am in the oasis by the crescent spring deep in the desert. In front of me is the thousand-year-old cave, the sound of camel bells in my ears, and the westward old man sings in the distance:

Dunhuang, Dunhuang…

Crescent Spring, Dunhuang, Gansu

Three, the humanities and customs of the Great Northwest

I have traveled in China for most of my life and have dealt with people from all over the world. Northwesterners are very distinctive.

My first impression of people from the Northwest came from when I first went to college. The classmates in the school come from all corners of the world, and they always greet them when they meet for the first time. I am also a person who loves to deal with people, and visiting each dormitory one by one to make friends has become a great pleasure for me.

When I walked to a dormitory, I saw a simple boy sitting on the upper bunk, his face was black and red, his legs were slumped, he was holding a white flower cake in his hand, and his head was lowered. Nibbled quietly. As soon as I saw this situation, I suddenly got excited and rushed over to pat him. He asked: Classmate, what is your name?

“Uh…Uh, my name is Cai Baocheng.” As soon as he opened his mouth, there was a rich Gansu dialect, followed by a shy smile, half-breaking the contents in his hand and handing it to me, “Eat, you eat. “What is this?” “Mo, Mo”. This simple and enthusiastic attitude really amused me. I then asked him, where are you from? “Qin’an, Gansu”.

Simple, honest, enthusiastic and straightforward, it became my first impression of Northwesterners.

This simple and honest man later embarked on an official career, and his officialdom was not small. This time I visited Lanzhou and met old classmates whom I had not seen for many years, and he was among them. Everyone happily talked about the wine, reminiscent of their years of age, and laughed at the impression of the first meeting that year.

In my opinion, the personality of the people in the Northwest has the “birth” and “coldness” of the Qin people, but they are not the same as Lao Shan. Compared with Shaanxi people’s “very simple”, Northwesterners are a bit more forbearing, and this forbearance is a bit more delicate.

The “cold baby” stubbornness is easy to understand, because the vastness and desolation of the northwest is no different from the Loess Plateau. The rivers flow, the loess is flying, and the Northwestern people nourished by the Yellow River under the Qilian Mountains are all melancholy, honest and simple.

But if you carefully identify them, there is still a hint of tolerance and delicacy in the Northwestern’s personality. This forbearance may be related to religious enlightenment, and it is also related to the harsh living environment in the Northwest. Drought, severe cold, strong winds, and the roughness of the northwest have made the ethnic groups that have lived here for thousands of years become resilient, and their adaptability to the natural environment has become stronger. The temperament of the people in the Northwest is less gentle than the Jiangnan Misty Rain, and more is the fortitude of the Iron Horse and Jin Ge.

The consequence of forbearance may be to endure silently, or it may be the explosion of savings. The consequences of the Northwestern outbreak are generally serious. In ancient times, there were cannibal Dong Zhuo, the righteous father Lu Bu, and the murderous and tyrannical Bai Yanhu and Ma Bufang. Once the tolerance of Northwest Humanity goes to extremes, it may be frightening and fierce.

At the same time, Northwesters are also famous for their delicateness. Mostly because of wars in history, poor land and shortage of water sources, people in the Northwest often live frugal lives and advocate economy. The men in the northwest are generally practical and capable, quick to do things but indifferent to words, like to give silently, attentive and reliable; most of the women in the northwest are diligent and thrifty, hardworking, hard-hearted and loyal, rarely pretentious. These are subtle expressions of forbearance.

Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City, known as the “Hollywood of the East”. Many film and television works describing the customs of the northwest are taken here, such as “The Wrangler”, “Red Sorghum”, “Yellow River Ballad”, “New Dragon Inn” and so on.

Besides, on various occasions outside, Northwesterners’ first impressions are often simple, straightforward, enthusiastic and relaxed. This may be related to the fact that the northwestern region has had many immigrants and frequent cultural exchanges in history. Whether they are from the Central Plains, the Western Regions, or the nomadic ethnic minorities, they must accept each other, unite and help each other, and communicate and integrate when they settle here. The diverse historical and cultural backgrounds and the bold enthusiasm of the horseback nation also affected the frankness, magnanimity and tolerance of the people in the Northwest.

Speaking of this, I have to mention the amount of alcohol in the Northwest. People in Northwestern China are good at drinking and have a reputation. The most legendary drinking experience in my life happened in Xinjiang.

In August 2005, I was invited to inspect the project in Tianshan, Xinjiang. At that time, it was the richest man in Tianshan, Xinjiang who received me. The boss was very proud. The plane just landed at the Diwopu Airport in Urumqi, and the helicopter next to it was ready. It took off to take our group to the Nanshan Ranch at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains. The plane relayed seamlessly, and it was a kind of sky. The high emperor feels far away. As soon as he entered the yurt, the 68-degree Yilite, known as “Xinjiang Maotai”, placed five boxes like shells.

The average person may have been intimidated by this posture, but the good news is yet to come. The owner claimed that he could not drink, so he specially invited a guy nicknamed “Chief of Tianshan” to accompany him. He is a native of Northwest China, but he is a mixed blood of Kazakh and Henan. He has a square face, a hooked nose and a full face. , Walked like a Mongolian wrestling, drinking four catties of Yilit, known as “drunk not drunk, not too much”. At that time, young and vigorous, the wine was really dark. Finally, seeing that he was incapable of the enemy, he could only get out of the tent with the help of punches. So, the two of us started punching. It was really the most exciting drinking story in my life.

Fisting is easy to learn but hard to master, but it’s actually looking for probabilities and catching flaws. When a person is calm and confident, he is very clumsy, but when he is in a hurry, especially when his heart is flustered, he often wants to cover up, and flaws appear frequently. Therefore, you must know how to give pressure. Relying on punching, “Chief Tianshan” got drunk, and I finally got out of the yurt. It was already ten o’clock in the evening, but the sunset was still hanging in the sky, and the sky was not dark yet, and a few stars were sparsely lit. That was really the most exciting drinking story in my life.

When talking about the customs of the Northwest, I have to mention the cuisine of the Northwest. I have always been a food lover, and the first stop to taste China should be the “Great Northwest”.

Needless to mention Lanzhou beef noodles, one of my trips was to find a bowl of noodles from thousands of miles away. From the cheekiness of the noodles to the taste of the meat, from the lightness of the soup to the lightness of spicy,A bowl of ordinary Lanzhou people’s “big cattle” have completely different exquisites. This scene made blood flow up, and I was drooling. Of course, the best “Niu Da” must be the one with the most queues in the back streets.

The lamb in the northwest is also worth mentioning. Northwestern people are used to eating beef and mutton, and mutton is famous in Northwest cuisine. Hand-caught mutton, mutton bone soup, and boiling mutton are all famous in Northwest China.

Different from the fishy and greasy mutton in the Mainland, the sheep in the northwest graze naturally and live by water and grass. The salt and mineral intake is high, and the meat is fresh and tender without fishy mutton. It is simply a gospel for those who do not like the smell of mutton. The most famous is the Yanchitan sheep in Ningxia. Because of the grazing in the plateau area, the pan sheep in Linxia area has long hair and thick meat, and it is also the first-class food for hand-caught lamb.

Over the years, I have eaten from mutton steamed buns in Shaanxi and lamb in water basins to beef noodles in Lanzhou, from hand-caught mutton in Ningxia to braised mutton in Longshang. For a feast, ten catties of meat will grow in ten days.

After years of research, I gradually discovered that there are Hui people behind these top Northwestern delicacies. The Hui people are good at making beef and mutton and the ingredients are exquisite, combined with the deep accumulation of the long history and culture in the northwest, making the best food in the world is naturally a matter of course.

The unique food and beverages of the Northwest have been so lingering for me for many years, so that to some extent, I always thought that diet can really reshape a person.

My ancestors and ancestors have been Han people for generations. They don’t have a big beard, and they rarely even have a beard. But since I went to study and live in the Northwest, I was surprised to find that I had grown a beard, and it was densely packed without shaving. The real reason is unknown, but I have always speculated that it may be related to eating more beef and mutton. Beards are common in northwestern Muslims, and I have realized how to follow the locals in a sense.

After graduating from Lanzhou University, I mostly lived in Guangdong and rarely returned to Lanzhou. The Lingnan cuisine is solid, but I can’t find the cooked northwestern taste when I search for restaurants.

Four. Where is the Northwest?

The so-called northwest refers to the five provinces in the northwest, namely “Shaan”, “Gan”, “Ning”, “Qing” and “Xin”. This is based on the concept of administrative divisions. Regarding Shaanxi, the book “The Great Country and the People” has been expanded in detail, so I won’t repeat it here. The four provinces of “Gansu, Ningxia, Qingxin” are closer to each other in terms of geography, history and culture, which is also the focus of this Caprice.

/p>

The desolation in the northwest is affected by changes in the geopolitical structure. As a strategic depth, priority should be given to ensuring stability and national defense. For a long time, the Northwest has tried to align with the eastern region in terms of economic development structure, blindly relying on investment to boost the economy and pursuing extensive growth. The consequences are ecological damage, corruption in the way of collapse, and disparity between the rich and the poor. These are like shackles, adding a heavy burden to the development of the Northwest.

So where should we go to the Northwest? Standing under the vicissitudes of the millennium civilization, how should this ancient, mysterious land full of historical weight grasp development opportunities?

First, find out where you are. More than ten years ago, an old leader who retired from the central government came to Guangdong for inspection. I had the courage to put forward the “three Chinas” hypothesis to him, which was highly recognized. This is the “critical China”, “sensitive China” and “indifferent China”.

Governing a big country is like cooking small fresh food, first of all, we must rule the world. The regional division of the “Three Chinas” may be different from ancient times to the present, but the division ideas are the same.

What is “Key China”?

For example, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, they are either the best districts, or the cosmopolitan cities, or the frontiers of openness. At least they are also large provinces of money and food. They affect the whole body. These are the rulers all the time. Concerned about, personally grasped when necessary, this is called “critical China.”

What is “sensitive China”?

For example, Xinjiang and Tibet, although they are located on the border, involve my country’s core interests and have a high strategic position. This is also an area that the rulers attach great importance to. Cadres in such places are stable and re-posted, and must be capable and courageous.

What does “does not matter China”?

My hometown is Guizhou. It cannot be said to be unimportant, but it is not so important in comparison: good is not much better, and bad is not bad, anyway. From the perspective of employment, it is a place for transition, inspection and training.

The provinces in the northwest are obviously sensitive to China. Sensitive China has both a high strategic position and core strategic interests, with extremely high tension. In development, stability must be given priority, and the relationship between development and stability must be handled well.

In this case, it is obviously not enough to open up as a key Chinese region and encourage fast progress. However, the Northwest region has both vast land, beautiful scenery and differentRegional customs, under the premise of resource protection and ecological restoration, backed by the huge mainland market, must have the inherent advantages of developing a large cultural tourism industry, and it must be unique, authoritative and exclusive. This is to reduce the burden on the Northwest, and it is also a soul search for the Northwest.

The epidemic has severely hit the international tourism market, but it has also been a golden opportunity for domestic consumers to turn their attention to this magical and beautiful land in the northwest. In the next step, under the economic development pattern that fully expands domestic demand and is dominated by the domestic cycle, relying on the backfeeding of the vast mainland market to fully release the purchasing power of the domestic market, the development of the cultural and tourism industry in the northwest region will definitely have a huge market space. .

The second point is “there is a mine at home.” The development and protection of natural resources. From the Hexi Corridor to the foothills of the Kunlun Mountains, from the Qaidam Basin to the Tarim Basin, the entire northwestern underground contains a large amount of energy resources and mineral resources, and there are abundant water resources, forest resources and biological resources on the surface. These natural resources are used as a strategic resource reserve that affects the national economy and people’s livelihood. How to develop, utilize and protect these natural resources in the next step has huge space for exploration in the Northwest.

The third point is the most critical, to fully excavate and realize the commercial value of tourism and cultural resources in the Northwest. The hard aspect is to significantly improve the traffic conditions, infrastructure, and supporting construction in the Northwest.

Especially important here is the improvement of traffic. High-speed railways extending in all directions and newly-built airports at all levels will bring the Northwest into the main artery of transportation throughout the country, so that the relationship between the Northwest and the inland can be completely opened up in space.

The soft aspect is to fully explore the cultural connotation and spiritual core of the Northwest region, seek the source from the profound accumulation of thousands of years of civilization, and expand and strengthen the cultural industry.

5. The spiritual core of the Great Northwest

The vast and desolate land of the Great Northwest has accumulated too much profound cultural heritage. Once those things about humanities are unearthed, the prospects are immeasurable.

What is the spiritual core of Great Northwest?

In my opinion, it is the vicissitudes of life and romance.

Eternal ancient times, refers to the distance of mountains and rivers in the northwest. In the eyes of the ancestors of the Chinese nation, Kunlun Mountain is “the ancestor of ten thousand mountains” and “the ancestor of dragon veins.” In “Shan Hai Jing”,It is “the emptiness of Kunlun in China” and “the place of a hundred gods”. Kuafu Zhuri, Queen Mother of the West, and Three Blue Birds all originated in Kunlun Mountains. Fuxi ascended to heaven and Chi You recognized his ancestors. The Kunlun mythology contains all the imagination of the Chinese ancestors about the foreign land of the West. From then on, the northwest has been the spiritual sustenance of the Chinese nation’s myths and fantasy, romance and greatness.

The great poet Li Bai used “The bright moon rises out of the Tianshan Mountains and the vast sea of clouds. The long wind tens of thousands of miles, blowing Yumenguan” completely wrote the desert Gobi, the rivers and mountains vigorous and majestic; the frontier poet Lu Lun used “The moon and black geese fly high, Shan Yu Ye escaped. In order to drive Qingqi away, the snow is full of bows and knives.” The frontier fortress is blown with fresh wind, and the momentum of the golden horse and iron horse is magnificent.

And these ancient bold minds and arrogance are the sadness of touching the scene and the desolation of personal loneliness. The vastness of the northwest of thousands of miles and the insignificance of the individual will give a sense of desolation similar to “the leisure of the heaven and the earth, alone but under the tears”.

In modern times, this loneliness and desolation were finally resolved with romance by Wang Luobin, the king of western singers, and turned into the youthful passion and exotic scenery of the remote frontier. In “In That Faraway Place”, “I would like to be a lamb and sit next to her; I would like her to hold a thin whip and keep hitting me gently”, a few lyrics, singing Exhausted the tenderness of the western erlang is like the sea, and can’t finish the ten thousand styles of the western girls.

For me, Northwest has always been synonymous with sincere enthusiasm and vicissitudes of romance.

What makes me feel relieved is that in recent years, more and more young people born in the 1980s and 1990s have also begun to discover the vicissitudes of the Great Northwest and begin to follow in the footsteps of our generation 40 years ago.

The northwest has gradually become the spiritual home of contemporary literary youth. A large number of young people spontaneously flock to the northwest to feel the loneliness and desolation of this land. These are inseparable from the romantic temperament of Northwest culture.

In the future of the Great Northwest, the loneliness of these pioneers of literature and art should be turned into the loneliness of a group of people. With the beauty of the world, more Chinese people can feel the call of thousands of miles of the Western Regions and the ancient civilizations and return to the heavens. The original aesthetic of unity comes.

In recent years, the “Alxa Heroes” and the “Xuan Zang Tour Gobi Challenge” that have emerged in China in recent years, the outside world seems to be a group of people who are full of food seeking excitement, but in fact it is the ” The aesthetics of loneliness will bring more people to do some useful explorations and attempts.

The reaction and enthusiasm of tourists to the Northwest is unprecedented. This kind of positive feedback from the market is pushing and pulling the Northwest. The movement is too big.

Some of my entrepreneur friends in the Pearl River Delta, they used to go to Europe and North America to spend a lot of money on sightseeing, but they have never experienced the great beauty of the Northwest. When they were truly in the wilderness of the Great Northwest, seeing the snow-capped mountains, the river and the Gobi desert, and seeing the magnificence of the sunset, they were immediately ecstatic and full of praise. They did not expect that there is such a beautiful place in China, and they are all touched. I lament the smallness of the individual, the eternity of all things, and the vastness of the motherland. This is exactly what the Northwest should show to the Chinese people.

Qinghai Chaka Salt Lake

This year’s eleventh holiday, the northwest travels all over the country. Ctrip data shows that the National Day heat of the “Greater Northwest” surged by 475%, of which Gansu was the fastest growing heat, Lanzhou ranked fourth among the most searched cities in the country, and Xi’an tourism heat increased by 207%. In addition, according to Meituan’s National Day orders, Ningxia, Qinghai, and Gansu will be the top three new tourist hottest provinces during the National Day.

It can be seen that “going to the west” is becoming a new trend for domestic consumers to travel. In the post-epidemic era, the northwestern region is sparsely populated and has a low population density, which is suitable for tourists to avoid crowds. When China starts its internal cycle in the next step, the Northwest will surely become an important cultural and tourism treasure house in China.

I believe that until then, the true value of the Northwest will be fully explored. Let people really see that there is great beauty between heaven and earth, and great beauty only has a soft spot for the northwest. Let people really see: the humanistic value and cultural heritage of the Northwest.

At the end of the article, I couldn’t help but think of 2015. After completing the project planning of Xinjiang Headquarters Base, I led the team and spent several days visiting Ili, Hongqilap, Khorgos and other places to see We arrived at Qinggeda Lake in the Tianshan oasis, Shihezi full of flowers, Guozigou with white snow, and blue and turquoise Sailimu Lake. We met the legendary Xibe heroes, hospitable Kazakhs, singing and dancing Uyghurs. All kinds of Northwestern customs can’t help but make me feel a lot of emotion, Touching the scene to give birth to love, in the return flight to occupy a gap.

Don’t take the liberty of this, I will show my ugliness for the first time to end this long essay:

Wanli travel to the Western Regions, Feng Xuyu Space,

Kunlun dances the silver dragon, and Gobi sings gale.

After the snow, the flowers are blooming, and the grass is revived.

The Orchid dance is still there, and the grace is empty.

Talk to Zuo Gongliu in the morning, visit Lin Gongqu in the evening,

The Corps recalls the beard and Yili looks for the bears.

Spreading rain in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, the head of the Han military digs out,

Wanfang wants to play music, and hopes for success in this world!
