A meeting was held for colleagues two weeks ago. The main content was to summarize the company’s operations in the previous four months, correct recent problems, and remind colleagues of several things. I summarized it briefly:

1. We have a phenomenon, although there are not many, but I think it is worthy of vigilance. Because the situation of customers is different, some customers have a lot of requirements, and some customers require less communication and it is relatively easy to communicate. But we can’t just because the customers who demand more, we spend more energy to serve them, and the customers who demand less, we will do less work.

Although this may seem “a bit reasonable”, it is actually very unreasonable. We have to treat our customers equally. You can’t say that the customer doesn’t ask for it and you don’t do it.

2. There have been several proposals recently. When we rehearsed in advance, we suddenly discovered that they were inconsistent with our own principles and requirements, and they were obviously problematic. Then why did we discover such obvious problems until so long? This requires us to re-examine the content of the proposal when we make every decision. Does it really meet the client’s situation? Does it really comply with our company’s principles and standards?

Don’t bother to give up such a plan just because you have done a lot of work, otherwise you will have to make more changes when I finally found out through the review.

3. Our internal requirements are simple, direct and honest, and our emotional intelligence can be relatively low, but for customers, we can’t do this. We do service, and service is service. You can’t say that you can be dragged by consulting services. Service is our product, and attitude and ability are equally important in service.

Don’t always think that you know better than your customers.

4. The progress and quality feedback of each project, including the positive and negative things from the customer, should be given objective feedback. I found that some colleagues will deliberately beautify their work results, as well as the customer’s evaluation of their work, this kind of thing is terrible, you may believe that you are a perfect consultant after doing more. Feedback from customers, feedback from colleagues, good or badIt must be objectively recorded, and it is not possible to report the good and the bad.

Face is not important, results are important. Only by giving up face can we make progress.

5. Be good at asking for advice and using the wisdom of colleagues at work, but avoid two extremes. One is completely behind closed doors, just thinking about it there. The other is to wait for your colleagues to give their ideas and don’t contribute at all. Then what is the value of your existence? Why does the company keep people like you?

6. Learn more about the advantages of peer companies, see the best, don’t just talk about peers, just do your own thing.

7. The company bought a lot of books. And many books have content that helps us get answers right away, but I found that some colleagues just don’t like reading books and don’t know how to find answers in books when they encounter problems. How can you improve? Most of our outstanding colleagues, I can see their progress every year, they are much better than last year.

In fact, most of the knowledge does not require creation. The predecessors have already figured it out for us. You are already an expert if you are familiar with all the situations and solutions in this industry. This depends not on intelligence, but on diligence.

Our company does not need employees who are always standing still.

8. About the spirit of ownership. The company is still small, but in the future it must implement a partnership system, so I hope everyone will have the spirit of ownership. If you treat the company as your own home, you will really own this company in the future.

9. Be straightforward. Maybe this way of communication is hurtful, but it is the most effective way of communication. Don’t expect colleagues to guess your intentions, and you can guess right every time.
