The opening of the “main artery” in the Lingang New Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone will improve the external transportation system of the new area and the Yangshan Port collection and distribution system. It will only take 25 minutes from the new area to Pudong International Airport.
On July 3, the main line of the Lianggang Avenue (New Siping Highway-Dazhihe) rapid development project in Lingang New Area was opened to traffic, and the opening area this time is the Xinyang Highway ramp To Dazhi River, the main line viaduct of the ramp section from Xinsiping Highway to Xinyang Highway is temporarily closed. 
The rapid development of Lianggang Avenue was completed on December 2019 Construction started on the 20th and was constructed by Shanghai Lingang New City Investment and Construction Co., Ltd., with a total length of about 25.9 kilometers. It is an important support for the construction of an independent and comprehensive transportation system in the new area.
After the rapid transformation of Lianggang Avenue is completed, the traffic speed will be increased to 80 km/h, which will help to further improve the external traffic system of the new area and the distribution of Yangshan Port Transport system, build a large coastal transportation corridor, and strengthen the connection between the new area and the central city and the Yangtze River Delta.

In the project, the new Siping Highway-S2 section has a total length of about 13.1 kilometers. The project adopts the construction form of “main line viaduct + ground road”, and 7 pairs of ramps are set up across the line. Later, further promote the integration of industry and city, and provide transportation support for Tesla and other industries.
S2-Dazhi River Section is about 12.8 kilometers in total length. The main line adopts a ground-based rapid form, with three flyover bridges and a pair of ramps within the scope of the project. After completion, The new area is only 25 minutes away from Pudong International Airport.
