The report shows that the average age of migrant workers is 40.8 years old, an increase of 0.6 years from the previous year. The proportion of migrant workers over the age of 50 is 24.6%, an increase of 2.2 percentage points from the previous year, and the proportion has increased year by year in the past five years.

The report also shows that the average monthly income of migrant workers is 3962 yuan, an increase of 241 yuan over the previous year. In addition, the average living area of ​​migrant workers entering the city was 20.4 square meters, an increase of 0.2 square meters over the previous year.

Regarding the education of migrant children with migrant workers in cities, the report shows that the enrollment rate of children aged 3 to 5 with migrants continues to increase, and the rate of children in school during compulsory education further improve. The difficulty of going to school for high school students and the high cost are more prominent in the eastern regions and big cities.

In addition, the report said that 40% of migrant workers who entered the city considered themselves to be “locals” in the city they lived in, a 2 percentage point increase over the previous year.
