In the new battle of replication, the smart hardware industry that has been pushed to the forefront can’t escape the fate of manufacturing scale, cost, and the Red Sea. And the speed to the Red Sea is faster than the traditional hardware market in the past.

Internet companies have become a middle-stage role in the hardware industry chain in the process of vying to build a closed-loop IOT ecosystem based on me. The fast-coming homogenized and saturated competition is forcing the former to be closed to moderately open, from fees to fee reduction, or even free. Internet traffic portals, third-party tool platforms, and even the deep participation of real estate developers have made the industry’s smart home platform fragmented.

The difference between us and the West is that the government plays a more proactive role in public interest, has a stronger sense of mission, and has the same policy continuity. In the past 30 years, China has completed the urbanization process that took nearly a hundred years in the West. It has the most developed highway and railway network in the world, and the total mileage ranks first in the world. Behind the trend of smart home consumption driven by the private economy is the top-level design of the government’s smart city construction, which is gradually implemented in the “new infrastructure” planning.

With the wisdom of urban arterial roads, the city will form its own big data center and supercomputing center, which are distributed in the operating systems of the government’s various functional management departments. Various types of intelligent life scenarios dominated by the private economy will be connected to the smart city system as if capillaries are standardized and become an organic part.

At present, various types of competition and openness are competing with each other. In the future, they will face further standardized and modularized traffic portals and platforms. The trend of centralization is inevitable. The fragmented disorder, homogeneous competition, and repetitive construction embodied now are all phased products. They will eventually become pipelines and become the foundation of smart cities.
