Take the elevator down to the first floor. This is the exhibition area and special exhibition hall for comic magazines. The first special exhibition opened is naturally “Manga Boy”.

“Manga Boy” is a monthly manga magazine published between 1947 and 1954. It not only published the cartoons of Tokiwasho cartoonists, but also invited Osamu Tezuka and Hiroo Terada as judges to select talented new cartoonists. As mentioned earlier, new cartoonists who have achieved excellent results in the column “Manga Communication Book” hosted by Hiroo Terada may be invited to live in Tokiwa.

It can be said that if Tokiwa is the den of cartoonists who first arrived in Tokyo, then “Manga Boy” is the dragon gate of the artists’ debut and fame.
