Data released on the official website of the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in January 2021, the real estate market is generally stable. The price increase of commercial residential housing in all tiers of cities has expanded from the previous month, and the year-on-year increase has increased and decreased.

According to estimates, in January, the sales price of newly-built commercial residential buildings in four first-tier cities rose by 0.6% month-on-month, an increase of 0.3 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen rose 0.5%, 0.6%, 1.0% and 0.3% respectively. The sales price of second-hand housing increased by 1.3% month-on-month, an increase of 0.7 percentage points from the previous month. Among them, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen rose 0.9%, 1.3%, 1.4% and 1.7% respectively.

The sales prices of newly built commercial housing and second-hand housing in 31 second-tier cities both increased by 0.4% month-on-month, an increase of 0.3% from the previous month.

The sales prices of newly-built commercial housing and second-hand housing in 35 third-tier cities increased by 0.2% and 0.3% respectively from the previous month, an increase of 0.1 percentage points on average over the previous month.
