According to foreign media reports, Goldman Sachs chief executive David Solomon said his bank launched Apple credit card “the most successful credit card issue ever.”
Solomon briefed investors on the latest developments in the bank’s new projects at the beginning of the conference call on Tuesday.
Solomon said: “In just three years, we raised $55 billion in deposits on the Marcus platform, created a $5 billion loan, built a new credit card platform, and launched the Apple Card.” He added “We think this is the most successful credit card issue ever.”
While continuing to talk about the Apple Card, which the bank and iPhone maker Apple have launched, Solomon said: “Since August, we are very happy to see that consumers have high demand for this product.
