Privacy and security is one of Google’s favorite things this year, and none of them. As a data-based service company, there are many people around the world who have to contribute a huge amount of data to Google. On the other hand, how to ensure data security has become a problem that Google must solve.
That is the case today, let’s put aside the soft things of user policy, and look at what Google is doing recently from the hardware.

You may find that in the past two years, most of Google’s hardware products have mentioned a term that we are familiar with – Titan security chip. Just as Apple uses a dedicated chip to protect security, this is Google’s own security defense chip.
The Titan chip is a security chip that Google introduced in 2017. It is currently used in Google servers, smartphones and notebooks. For example, in the recent Pixel 4 series, we can see the Titan chip. The Titan chip checks the firmware and software being loaded while the device is booting and reduces the chances of launching an attack by means of a key check.
The Titan chip is currently owned by Google and is not used outside of Google products. But now things have changed, and in addition to the usual partners, Google may also provide some of the technology used to everyone.
