This reminds me of every other time, and there are always people who ask: “Do you still have time to do the public number?”

Every time I have a public number, my friends who are full of power ask me, I don’t know how to answer.

On the one hand, they are afraid of ruining their creative enthusiasm. On the other hand, they really do not dare to draw conclusions.

But after listening to that sharing, I have new thoughts on this issue.

Three WeChats for WeChat Public Account

Since 2015, many people have complained that the WeChat public account traffic dividend period has passed. What is the truth? The co-founder of the bad review said that the WeChat public account had had three traffic bonus periods.

First time: In 2012, the WeChat public account was launched soon. The first batch of accounts that registered the WeChat public account and continued to output valuable content have now become the top 30% in the industry.

The third time: In 2017, the WeChat public account can realize account migration. After the migration, the WeChat public number fans can be directly superimposed on the new account body. Some new media startups or individuals can quickly accumulate their original fans by buying them.

The above three traffic bonus periods, except for the first time, rely on content to increase powder, the other two have a certain funding threshold.

So I think that after missing these traffic bonus periods, it is still very difficult to simply rely on the content to make the WeChat public account to achieve the (big) money.

Someone may say, I don’t expect to make big money by the public number, and make small money to support myself. Is it reliable?

I started publishing the first article of the public number in November 2015, but the real start to make money started in 2018 – after I resigned.

Before 2018, I kept my public account as a personal blog. There was no fixed update theme and frequency. Basically, I was interested in what topic I was interested in during that time.

Fortunately, I have written several popular articles, and some readers have been introduced from other platforms such as Zhizhi and Douban.

After I decided to resign in 2018, I began to seriously think about how to realize the problem through the public number.

As far as I know, there are three forms of public account redirection: 1. Advertising 2. Knowledge payment 3. Content e-commerce

In addition, some of the revenue functions that come with the public number, such as traffic masters and appreciation, are limited by the number of traffic and fan volume, and can be ignored for the trumpet below 100,000 powder.

After resigning, I tried advertising
