According to electrek, Jaguar Land Rover Classic Car Group Manager Paul Hegarty said recently that the company has decided to suspend the development and mass production of E-type Zero models.

E-type Zero is a replica (electric version) of Jaguar’s classic E-Type, which began development in 2017. In September 2017, Jaguar was officially released at the London Technology Festival.

It is reported that the appearance of the Jaguar E-type Zero inherits the genes of the first-generation E-Type, and the original inline six-cylinder engine is replaced with an electric platform. Many of its model components are derived from Jaguar I-PACE. In terms of performance, this model has a maximum power of 220KW, an acceleration of 100 kilometers in 5.5 seconds, and a maximum cruising range of 270km.

In September 2018, Jaguar announced that it will officially launch a mass-production version of the E-type Zero pure electric sports car. The first products are expected to be delivered in 2020.
