According to foreign media reports, on Monday local time, Rosenblatt Securities, a well-known US investment agency, predicted that Apple is developing up to six different “iPhone 12” models, including ‘Pro’ ‘Plus’ and ‘Max’ in the series. Despite this, the agency reiterated its “sell” rating on Apple stock and predicted that China’s upcoming stock decline would not be improved by the iPhone SE 2 listing.

US investment agency predicts that Apple is developing six different iPhone 12, reiterating

In a long report to investors, analysts at Rosenblatt Securities outlined expectations for the 2020 iPhone model. Similar to other predictions, this investment agency believes that Apple will release the “iPhone SE 2” in early 2020, and then will launch multiple iPhone 12 models in the fall.

Rosenblatt Securities said that the iPhone SE 2 expected to be released in March will be equipped with a 5.1-inch LCD screen and a single rear camera and still support 4G. Although its analysts believe that the iPhone SE 2 will be equipped with the most advanced A13 processor currently available, Apple may also support Touch ID instead of Face ID, a move that is likely to make iPhone manufacturers “clean up or empty some old parts inventory” .

Although this device may be popular, Jun Zhang, an analyst at Rosenblatt Securities, doubts that due to the low pricing of the iPhone 11, coupled with additional iPhone sales in China, and China The 4G market is expected to “significantly decline” early this year, and it remains to be seen whether this device will be “appealing to consumers like the iPhone 11”.

For the “iPhone12” series, Zhang Jun expects that there will be more models to choose from than Apple previously provided, partly because of the introduction of 5G.

Analyst forecasts include:

—— iPhone 12 4G with 6.1-inch LCD screen and dual rear cameras;

—— iPhone 12 Pro 4G with 5.4-inch OLED screen and dual rear cameras;

—— iPhone 12 Pro 5G with 5.4-inch OLED screen and dual rear cameras;

—— Phone 12 Pro Plus 4G with 6.1-inch OLED screen, three rear cameras and introduction of ToF 3D sensing function;

—— iPhone 12 Pro Plus 5G with 6.1-inch OLED screen, triple camera settings and ToF function;

-iPhone 12 Pro Max 5G with 6.1-inch OLED screen, triple camera setup and ToF.

To further complicate the issue, Zhang Jun also predicts that the “iPhone 12” Pro 5G may provide models supporting only frequency bands below 6 GHz or increase millimeter wave compatibility. All of this is on the table. The analyst takes his “bet” very seriously and advises his customers that although Apple is working on “multiple projects” for the next iPhone at the same time, he “does not know which machine Types and versions will be released. ”

Although most of the phones listed in the latest research report are for September release, Zhang Jun believes that “iPhone12” Pro 5G may be released in the spring of 2021 to “target the mid-range 5G market”. Analysts also believe that if Apple chooses many completely different components in models above 4G, the transition to 5G iPhones will also cause many changes in basic device design.

Zhang Jun pointed out that 4G models and models below 6 GHz can use alloy racks. At the same time, those models that support millimeter waves may use perforated steel frames “to improve millimeter wave signals”, which are more sensitive to local environment and distance interference.

When it comes to the radio density (or RF content) of the new iPhone, analysts believe that 5G models will require about 30% more components than existing 4G iPhones. For models below 6 GHz, Broadcom and Murata are expected to receive more orders from Apple, while the millimeter-wave version is believed to use Qualcomm components and certain filters from Avago. LCP antenna makers will also see increased orders for this model this year.

Zhang Jun told customers that the wireless charging function will also be upgraded at the same time as the next iPhone 5G and 4G devices. This may be “because 5G consumes more power than 4G.” He said that the memory specifications of the basic models may remain the same as the current generation, and iPhone 5G models that cost more than $ 1200 may see an upgradeTo the DRAM level.

When it comes to iPhone 5G sales expectations, the Rosenblatt analyst’s forecast is undoubtedly pessimistic. He estimates that the iPhone 5G production will be 30 million units in 2020 and the sales will be less than 20 million . The company believes that Android 5G devices will begin to take market share from Apple in China in early 2020. In China, 5G deployments will lead for months in most markets, including throughout North America.

According to Zhang Jun, for Apple, the cost associated with launching 5G devices will also be a huge obstacle, and the average selling price of iPhone 5G devices is expected to be $ 200 more than 4G devices. Zhang Jun believes that the lack of “the introduction of a medium-priced 5G smartphone in 2020” means that “Apple will not have a large 5G upgrade cycle in 2020.”

As usual, Rosenblatt Securities has a pessimistic rating of Apple stock with a target price of $ 150. The agency believes that “for a company that may face potential problems in the smartphone market, adjusting target price and rating is a matter of course.”
