Tonight, Tesla China’s official website has quietly updated the domestic price of Model Y. Compared with the price of RMB 435,000-526 thousand previously announced, the new pricing continues to rise, reaching RMB 444,000-533,000, which is about a small increase of 10,000.
However, this is still an estimated price, and the final selling price is subject to the announcement before delivery. Tesla previously announced that it will officially launch Model Y in China in the summer of 2020. As a model on the same platform as Model 3, and with the increasing localization rate, we have reason to believe that Model Y will eventually go to a lower price. Although it is not yet known what Tesla intends to do with this price adjustment, everyone can just wait and see. The car still has nearly one year to be delivered.
Speaking of returning to Model 3, the continuous deepening of localization is definitely a good thing for consumers, but the domestic version is currently only available with a standard battery life (GB 445km) version, which is still available to consumers with long-distance demand.
