“Will you take an exam in the next quarter?” “No exam for now.” “I’ll go.” “OK.”

“I will be in the second quarter of the afternoon, and you will rest.” “Okay.”

“I’ll go next.” “Okay.”

Not long ago, a physical education teacher exposed his chats with other teachers. Compared with the tone of the colleague who grabbed the class, the gym teacher who was grabbed seemed polite. For a while, there was a heated debate on social networks about how humble a sports teacher is.

Sports lessons have been taken down by students and parents. However, on December 30, a new entrance examination reform policy blew up Yunnan’s parents’ circle of friends-tied 100 points apart from sports and language!

In fact, many places in the country have included sports in the middle school entrance examination. Beginning this year, colleges and universities with independent enrollment rights have added sports tests to their school entrance examinations, which is regarded as an important signal for sports entrance examinations.

The sports teacher who has always been “optional” has a gap of about 200,000.

Humble

A physical education teacher is responsive. It should be the best one, but it is always innocent.

Everybody’s school days will probably encounter several “dishonest” PE teachers. The math teacher just announced that the physical education teacher’s stomachache could not come. In a blink of an eye, the students saw the physical education teacher throwing shots in the playground.

In the lower grades, some schools can guarantee normal teaching, but the closer to the senior season, the easier it will be to cancel all sizes.

In 2018, the Yunnan Province Department of Education’s spot checks on the fourth grade of primary school and the eighth grade of junior high school in 16 counties of the province showed that the rate of meeting the standard of physical education in grade 4 was 61.2%, in grade 8 it was only 38.7%. More than 90% of the normal class hours.

Compared with other teachers, PE teachers have less work and have more time to manage the class. It seems to be a good teacher.

But not long ago, a physical education teacher in a middle school in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province applied for the job of head teacher, and the parents were questioned. For a while, “whether a physical education teacher could be the head teacher” caused controversy.

On the one hand, physical education is not valued, and on the other hand, physical education has become a “high risk” course in recent years. On October 16, a third-year boy in Shenyang fell to the ground during a one-kilometer run at the school’s physical fitness test. He was pronounced dead after being sent to a doctor.

Che Chun, a sports instructor and researcher at the Liwan District Education Development Research Institute in Guangzhou, pointed out that the physical education teacher must bear responsibility for any injuries in the classroom. At present, China does not have any legislative documents that can be relied on for campus injury accidents, which can make physical education teachers exempt from responsibility without errors in teaching and management.

So gentle sports lessons can be seen everywhere in middle schools, and they are summarized as “three without seven”, which means “no strength, no difficulty, no confrontation”, and “no sweat, no dirty clothes, no panting” , No wrestling, no rubbing, no sprains, no long runs. ”

The lack of outdoor sports, coupled with the excessive academic burden, myopia in children and adolescents in China has a high incidence and age. The results of the 2018 National Myopia Survey of Children and Adolescents published by the National Health and Medical Commission show that the overall myopia rate is 53.6%.

Hardcore

Facing the worrying situation of physical health of Chinese students in the past 30 years, there have been repeated calls in the society to include sports in the middle and high school entrance examinations.

On December 27, the Education Department of Yunnan Province issued “Implementation Opinions on Further Deepening the Reform of the School Entrance Examination System for Senior Middle Schools”. The highest concern is the rise in sports scores, with 100 points for Chinese, mathematics and English. This reform has been implemented since seventh grade students enrolled in the fall semester of 2020.
