The Spring Festival is here, but the whole country is shrouded in a heavy atmosphere brought about by new coronavirus pneumonia. Wuhan closed the city, and new cases have appeared in other places.

“Wear a mask, wash your hands frequently, and don’t knock on the door during the New Year.” Instead of Spring Festival Gala, grabbing red envelopes, and gathering the five blessings have become today’s keywords.

The virus is raging and people are trembling. How similar it was 17 years ago.

In 2003, SARS broke out on a large scale and spread worldwide. After nearly six months of epidemic prevention, SARS was finally controlled in the summer of 2003. According to data released by the World Health Organization, 349 people lost their lives in mainland China that year.

Some SARS patients have left their lives in danger, but they have left behind serious sequelae, such as disability caused by bone necrosis, pulmonary fibrosis, and mental depression. Some experts believe that the hormonal drugs used in rescue are the main causes of bone necrosis the reason.

In 2013, ten years after SARS, many media found SARS survivors of the year and reported their situation.

Zhang Tao, who was also a photojournalist at Southern Weekend at the time, shot five survivors (and family members) in Beijing. They showed no joy in the rest of their lives. Because of SARS, their health was destroyed, they lost their ability to work, and their families fell apart. Their fate was completely rewritten in 2003.

Zhang Wenrong, once a senior engineer, couldn’t help crying whenever he talked about SARS. She used to be an athlete and a travel enthusiast. After SARS, she had to travel with a cane, and pain tablets became a necessity.

There are more than a dozen kinds of illnesses on Zhang Wenrong’s body, and his wife has taken over all the housework at home

“All our pensions are used to see a doctor. If it doesn’t cost so much, we must be happy now.”

“My lover and I are both senior engineers. If we do n’t have SARS, we are at least the middle class, but now I have reached the bottom of the society. My gap is too big. Zhang Wenrong said to me in an interview.

Fang Bo, a “public opinion representative of the SARS sequelae group”, was interviewed by hundreds of media in 2013. He wanted to make this group’s life more secure and dignified.

Nine of the Fangbo family were infected with SARS in 2003. His wife did not survive it and died. Both daughters and son-in-law were unable to continue working because of femoral head necrosis. In 2005, the two daughters divorced and left the house.

The Spring Festival, Qingming Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival each year are the days when Fang Bo is most afraid to face. During the Spring Festival, he can no longer feel the joy of family fun, so he chose to go to hospital at this time.

Hospital No. 15 Dongshitiao Hutong is the first courtyard house in Beijing to be isolated due to SARS. There are 97 SARS patients in the entire street. Yang Zhixia, a family of 9 who lived here, was isolated in different hospitals for treatment.

“After SARS, our family was ruined and we haven’t had dinner together. This is a devastating disaster for our family. We haven’t been able to turn it over yet.” Yang Zhixia said in an interview.

Wu Zhen, a physician, contracted SARS during an internship in the emergency department of the People’s Hospital. Shortly after she was discharged, she was diagnosed with necrosis of the femoral head. By 2013, her left and right hip joints had been replaced.

During the hospitalization after the surgery, she encouraged herself with Nietzsche’s words: “A person who knows what he lives for, he can tolerate any kind of life”, “A person who knows why to live can bear almost any pain “.

In 2013, she looks forward to a new life after she is discharged from the hospital, to get married and have children.

Jing Deshen and Li Lianxiang were also diagnosed with femoral head necrosis after discharge. In order to treat the illness, from 2003 to 2009, the savings in the family spent more than 100,000.

In an interview in 2013, Jing Deshen said, “We are anxious for the society now, so much sacrifice, we have not left anything for future generations. What to do if SARS comes again, SARS changed his face and came again What to do? Have you made a truly complete set of emergency measures through this incident? I think these people have paid so much for nothing.

Yesterday, when the new pneumonia in Wuhan was on the vicious side, Jing Deshen made his own voice in the circle of friends.

When the SARS epidemic was the worst in 2003, major hospitals in Beijing were overcrowded and under-occupied. To this end, the State Council decided to establish a field infectious disease hospital in Xiaotangshan area, to centrally treat and manage all SARS patients in Beijing hospitals. Xiaotangshan SARS Hospital started construction on April 23, 2003, and was delivered to use on April 30.

Xiaotangshan SARS Hospital is a first-class infectious disease hospital. It was the world’s largest infectious disease hospital at the time and also set a record for the world’s hospital construction speed. The staff of the Publicity Department of the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau said that strictly speaking, there is no such term as “Xiaotangshan SARS Hospital”. It was not a hospital at the beginning, but a temporary field medical service.

During the SARS period, Xiaotangshan Hospital received a total of 680 SARS patients, one tenth of the global cases and one seventh of the Chinese cases. In the end, SARS Xiaotangshan672 people were discharged from the hospital.

In 2013, when I visited the former site of Xiaotangshan Hospital, the former ward had been demolished, leaving only a few broken temporary houses and a wasteland.

Yesterday, Wuhan Xiaotangshan has begun construction. According to the Chutian Metropolis Daily, the hospital will be completed within 6 days and can accommodate 1,000 beds.

Nothing new in the sun. The virus that completely changed the taste of the Spring Festival today has proven to be as wild as SARS.

I do n’t know if those who insist on eating game are aware that they are wrong. Your “curious” and “greedy” and “fascinated belief” in the magical effects of wild animals has set off a virus vortex, dragging all people living in Wuhan into darkness, making a nightmare 17 years ago Reproduced.

And those infected patients, the front-line medical staff, their fate may change in life.

Seventeen years have passed, and the victims have not yet come out of the pain. “The car in front is over, when the unknown is even worse.”
