Disruptive innovation believes that when a company is facing disruptive technological changes, good management practices accelerate the failure of successful companies, and address various issues that companies face—such as better planning, harder work, and more listening. Customers’ opinions, and a longer-term view of the problem, etc.-the conventional answer will make this problem worse.

Similarly, to maximize the value suggested in this book, you must set goals for your life. To this end, I want to describe to you the best way to set goals, and give examples of how I use it in my life. My goal setting is a process that requires me to be strict, and I will introduce you to this process.

Effective business goals consist of three components:

First, I call it “portrait”. Through simulation, a great artist often sketched out the drawings in his mind before creating oil paintings. The “portrait” of an enterprise is its key leaders and employees’ imagination of what the enterprise will eventually form on the development path. The word “portraits” is very important here, because it does not mean that the employees are excited to discover that the company has developed someday in the future, but that the managers and employees of the company want to be built at every critical moment. .

Secondly, if the company’s goals are to play a role, all employees need to have a strong sense of “painting”. The goal of an enterprise cannot just stay on paper, because in the development process, the moments that need to be made will appear constantly, it is unpredictable. If employees do not have such a strong sense of identity, then when the situation When there are extenuating circumstances, the goals of the enterprise will eventually fall into a fork.

Third, its ruler function. Employees can use this rule as a criterion to evaluate their work, and to condense employees on the road to corporate goals.

The future “portrait”, identity and ruler constitute the goals of a company. Companies seeking positive influence cannot determine their goals by chance, and valuable goals do not arise by chance. The world is full of mirages, contradictions, and uncertainties, so the goal cannot be destined, it should have been produced after thoughtful thinking and selection. When a goal is set, how it is achieved is often unexpected, because opportunities and challenges are constantly emerging and resolved. Great business leaders know how to use the power of goals to help them stay on top of the world.

The same is true for the leaders of non-commercial organizations. Those who lead the social reform movement-such as Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, etc.-have very clear and clear goals; The same is true of social organizations such as MSF, Nature, and Amnesty International.

God did n’t send it toThey have convincing and valuable goals, and God will not send you those goals. What kind of person you want to be, your life goal is very important, so you can’t leave it to chance. It requires you to contemplate, choose and manage carefully. The opportunities and challenges that appear in the process of achieving your goals are inherently uncertain, and I very much agree with strategic thinking to face these unexpected opportunities and challenges, so my process of achieving the goals is also step by step. Sometimes, unexpected dangers and opportunities appear behind me as I move towards my goal, and sometimes they come back like a breeze. I am thankful that I have not been too rigid and stubborn in achieving my goals.

I worked hard to determine my life goals and helped many of my friends and past students to determine their life goals. Really understanding the three components of life’s goals, namely the “portrait”, identity and ruler of the future, is the most reliable way I know to set goals and live under this goal.

Finally, remember: this is a process, not an event. It took me a few years to finalize my life goal, but it was worth it.
