Under the shadow of a new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic that has attracted global attention, we ushered in the year of the Gender Rat.

This Spring Festival, because of the epidemic situation, we have a special concern. We care about Wuhan, Hubei, and every medical staff on the front line of the epidemic. This Spring Festival, we gave up New Year’s greetings and conjugal relations. We consciously put on masks, and we asked our parents to wear masks. During the Spring Festival, we were saddened by the inaction of some local governments and by the late. We were angry at the Hubei Red Cross for not distributing materials. We also saw many touching individual stories.

When we aimed all our eyes and lenses at Wuhan and Hubei, did we magnify anxiety, and at the same time ignored the epidemic situation in other provinces, cities, and counties on the vast land–how did they live this? During the Spring Festival, did they attach importance to or underestimate the epidemic situation, what was their discussion about the epidemic situation, and how did they protect themselves?

So, the tiger sniffing editors who returned home during the Spring Festival and spread across the country from north to south became shots scattered on the map of China, recording the warmth scattered by the cold numbers of the outbreak of epidemic cases every day.

We are walking on the land of the motherland. In this Spring Festival, the epidemic is overwhelming. We are not only concerned about the major events around us, but also tied to Wuhan and Hubei.

We believe that this is the only thing we can do.

We believe that we will finally win the war against epidemics.

We believe that we will meet soon in this spring.

We believe: “Your heart is not a rough and deserted land. The bright light will always be filled with tenderness to the helpless and weak in the world.”

Come on in Wuhan! Go China!

The following content is arranged alphabetically by author ’s last name (including pen name and pseudonym), but we want to put the colleague Liu Chen who is currently fighting epidemic disease in the front line of Xiaogan in Hubei first —

Every coughOnce, I will doubt myself once

Text | Liu Chen, Xiaogan, Hubei

Until now, every time I cough, I doubt myself.

Noon on January 20, I got off the bus from Hankou Station. Out of the information I received in Beijing earlier and concerns about the epidemic, I did not take off my mask during the whole journey back to Wuhan. However, at that time, the number of people wearing masks was less than 30%, and a large part was because the train was almost at Hankou Station before taking out the masks in the bag. Standing out from Hankou, my strong feeling is that, as said on the Internet, all Chinese are worried about Wuhan, and some people in Wuhan seem to disagree. At least half of the people in the square at Hankou Station still did not wear a mask, and neither did the taxi driver.

I had an appointment with my college roommate that afternoon. She came from Qingshan. I reminded her to put on a mask to go out. The answer she gave me was: I went out very calmly.

I left my home in Wuhan that day and returned to my hometown of Xiaogan.

On the second day of Xiaogan, Academician Zhong Nanshan said that the video of the new crown virus confirming the transmission of humans began to spread widely. In the morning, I opened some Chinese medicines at a pharmacy near my home. At that time, it was the beginning of a crazy mask.

I was still going out at that time, and I forgot to wear a mask. With the spread of various circles of friends about the incident and various real and false information flying around, I began to pay more and more attention to the status of myself and my family, and told them to go out and wear masks.

After returning home after taking Chinese medicine, I have gone out twice. It is said that two confirmed cases have appeared in our community, and confirmed cases have also appeared in the market next to our home in Wuhan. When the epidemic situation is getting closer, I will become worried.

Strictly restrict the entry and exit of the community 5 days ago, take the temperature measurement in and out, not let the car out 4 days ago, the day before (January 31) received a notification, the entire urban vegetable market was closed, leaving only one or two in the city The local area is used to purchase materials needed for daily life.

However, the saddest thing is that the news I saw in the past two days said that when many people helped to collect the materials raised at home and abroad, when they saw the protective clothing of a nurse ’s friend in a non-big four hospital in Wuhan—they were at The circle of friends said that their protective clothing was not as good as shrouds, and the hospital ordered them to delete the circle of friends-really distressed and helpless. With regard to the Red Cross, we don’t know what to express except anger.

Everyone conducts regular inspections of Wuhan people and foreign vehicles in Wuhan. I personally think that they should be. We see some passages that may be a little discriminatory, and occasionally we will forward them.

But I do n’t quite understand the people who rushed out of Wuhan overnight before the city was closed, especially the people who had fever and took antipyretics to avoid the examination and had suspected symptoms. In fact, for these people, I actually There is a bit of condemnation, at least you have to make sure you are healthy.

At present, I still have a cough every day. With each cough, my dad will run into the room, hand me a glass of water, and then say: This is quite scary. I occasionally worry about whether I really have something, but I hope I am safe.

I want to go back to Beijing, I want to go back to the Tiger Sniff family, but reality doesn’t allow it. My own optimistic estimate is March, but at present this situation feels a little overhanging. My brother laughed at me yesterday and said that it would be fine to return in May.

Reminiscent of Beijing 17 years ago

Text | Chang Fangfei, Beijing

No one would think that after 17 years, people on the streets of Beijing began to consciously maintain a distance of more than 3 meters. Courier and takeaway are not allowed to enter the community. Volunteers in the street office are sitting on the street, wearing red sleeves, holding registration forms in their hands, and staring at everyone who is dragging their luggage and looking tired.

17 years ago, when SARS broke out, I was in the middle of junior high school. For an elementary school graduate, the content of the aerial class can be heard or not, there is no homework to receive, and the entrance examination only takes a few words. Feels relaxed. The only moment that disturbed me was when I heard that a family of three in the community was infected with SARS at the same time and was sent to Xiaotangshan Hospital for quarantine. A few days later, I heard that “there is no one”.

A few years later, I saw the cruelty of this battle in the book:

So how do you distinguish between clean and polluted areas? Zhu Jihong was silent for a while, slowly raised his hand, and pointed in his chest: “Here.”

After 17 years, signals of the severe situation of pneumonia were intermittently sent from various social media and foreign media, and the official rumor statement followed with a blast. What really caught the attention of ordinary people was still Zhong Nanshan’s clear message that he would be “person-to-person” in an interview with CCTV. Overnight, everyone put on a mask.

Being used to Beijing becoming an empty city for the Chinese New Year, Xiao Suo is especially this year. In the first few days, the haze was severe and the sky was getting dark. The entire city was shrouded in invisible thick fog. All major supermarkets have reduced business hours, leaving only oneOut of doors. The door opens at 10 am, and elderly people wait in line to buy vegetables at the door. The supermarket had to post a notice as soon as it entered the door, which read: There is ample supply of vegetables and fruits.

But this still cannot stop everyone’s enthusiasm for stocking. In the convenient vegetable market, Chinese cabbage is close to 5 yuan a catty, which means that a cabbage is likely to exceed 30 yuan, and it is still in short supply.

The restaurant is the opposite. I walked to the corner meat shop, and the waiter stood behind Wuling Hongguang, selling vegetables and fruits for half the price of the market. Suddenly closed, they said they could only stop losses as much as possible.

Similarly, there were all kinds of disinfection supplies. From 75% medical alcohol to 84 disinfectant, disposable cleansing and dew, all were sold short.

In the thirties, I went to a drug store in the community and wanted to buy medical alcohol. The clerk immediately took out the sold-out notice and told me, “This is the only place to buy, my heart is great.” I went to the supermarket again, When I first walked into the daily necessities area, the aunt behind me pushed me away, rushed forward, and faced the empty shelves with me. He said to himself: Oh, it’s sold out.

The number of confirmed diagnoses in Beijing will be updated almost every four to five hours. Like an infected person, anxiety is constantly increasing. On the second day of the Chinese New Year, a list of the communities where the diagnosed persons were located was circulated in various WeChat groups, including a community near my home. I asked the security guards and the occupants for the first time, and said that no one was taken away for isolation, and the community would not be closed.

A sister who worked as a nurse in a top three hospital has cancelled the Spring Festival holiday. The hospital set up a room for pre-hospital temperature screening and reopened the fever clinic. The family was relieved because she was not on the list of designated hospitals. However, if the number of infections increases, they may be used as backup hospitals at any time. “Don’t tell my mother then,” she said.

Street signs still banning fireworks are still hanging on the street. In the past year and New Year’s Eve, I heard a few firecrackers, but I didn’t hear any this year.

This year, the beginning of the second decade of the twenty-first century, has passed so quietly.

My parents value this epidemic more than I do

Author | Hu Zhanjia, Tianjin

On January 23, I bought a train from Beijing South Railway Station to Tianjin. Half an hour later, when I arrived at the South Railway Station, I saw my father and mother wearing N95 masks standing outside the station, fully armed.

At the time, many people at the station did not wear masks. In fact, I didn’t realize that the situation would be so serious. I bought a pair of 3M masks just before leaving. On the way, my dad went to the common people’s pharmacy and bought 9 N95. At that time, the price was 19 yuan a. Then he went to the grocery market to buy a lot of greens. He said that he might not be able to go out in the next few days. Will close, and rely on these for winter.

Because our family and relatives have n’t been to Wuhan, nor have fever or fever cases, my dad started to stir up at 5 o’clock in the morning, prepared a large table, and prepared to feast relatives and friends. As a result, they successively called and sent WeChat, saying that they should not gather again this year. When they saw the news that there were several clustered cases, they did not come because of insurance.

My dad’s cooking, steaming bowl, this is only part, there are many more ….

P

During the Spring Festival, my TV was basically fixed on 13 CCTV news channels. At 6:30 in the evening, I transferred to Hubei Satellite TV to follow the latest development of the epidemic in Wuhan in real time. At the dinner table, my family also discussed the new type of coronavirus. How many more cases? What is the number of deaths? Are there any epidemic prevention measures … I am faced with this information every day, which makes me a little scared.

Recalling during SARS in 2003, I remember that my mother stocked a lot of iodine-free salt, and the smell of vinegar every day at home. At that time, she was still young. She was more curious about all this and was complacent about delaying school. 17 years have passed and I have experienced similar things again. Although I am not in Hubei and not in the front line as a witness, I still feel very close to death, feel the fragility of life, and the powerlessness of facing death.

When the whole world was covered by the haze of the epidemic, I revisited The Pretender I had watched several times, and the final result, what Minglou said to Mingtai on the rooftop was still moving: we all Groping in the dark, the darker the road ahead, the more we desire light in our hearts.

Let’s finally slogan and cheer people up: Wuhan, come on! Go China! Come on, the world!

A lot of things are melting in the snow and ice

Text | Jiujiu, Harbin, Heilongjiang

When I got home, my mother asked me if I had a mask, and pulled out a bunch of masks and stuck them to me. These are all security items issued by her unit on a hazy day, so I’m glad I didn’t have to tell my family to wear a mask during this period.

Affected by the climate, the Spring Festival party in Northeast China is basically from one room to another. Even so, there are still fewer pedestrians on the road.

Northeast people have the habit of storing winter cabbage in their homes. Although my family has n’t stocked it for many years, they still do n’t have to worry too much about the ingredients in the face of the epidemic. The balcony is a natural refrigerator. You can save a lot of food.

Family and friend gatherings are cancelled. Apart from restaurants, it is probably the bathing industry in the Northeast that has suffered a devastating blow. After all, soaking in the pool is too conducive to the spread of the virus.

Beginning the previous year, fireworks were banned during the Spring Festival in Harbin. There have been sporadic cannon sounds on New Year’s Eve last year. This year is completely quiet. A few days ago, there seemed to be an article with the argument, “Because fireworks and firecrackers have been banned, there is an epidemic of infectious diseases caused by unknown viruses.”

Fortunately, WeChat deleted quickly, otherwise it may be fireworks that support Wuhan.

My dad is not well. He has been staying at home and doesn’t go out. Suddenly hot during the Spring Festival, it turned out to be just a common cold. If the family was close to the enemy, he would take his temperature frequently. My dad would not allow me to enter his room. Every time my mother gave him a temperature test, she came nervously and asked me what to do. .

Because I did n’t go out so much, so I did n’t take any pictures. After I returned to Beijing, I took some pictures on the road:

There are many stalls buying vegetables on the side of the road. Most of them are restaurant owners. When they ask, they will stock up a wave of ingredients for friends and family dinners and Chinese New Year dinners. Under the epidemic, they had to sell ingredients to reduce losses, and citizens had a demand for groceries, which was very popular.

The far side street in the picture above is also lined with the propaganda banner of the “Spring Festival” in the park of Jiamenkou. This cultural festival was still under construction when I left Beijing, and the event was cancelled when I returned. The dislocation of the booming storefronts and unmanned streets is very sci-fi, as if there were still people working here a second ago, they disappeared in the next second, and the skewers were too late to be collected.

I walked this park many times and never noticed that Kobe’s propaganda materials were piled on the roadside. Four or five piled up there, as if nothing had happened.

Chinese New Year with masks and TV

Text | Southland, Chengdu, Sichuan

On the way back from Beijing to Chengdu, we kept thinking about buying a mask, but we missed it again and again.

On the afternoon before departure, I returned to Beijing from the company’s annual meeting. The first thing I did was to send my cat to a foster care center, and then come back to pack and pack my luggage. There was a thought in my heart that “need to buy a few masks”, but subconsciously, this is not the most urgent thing. At that time, according to information transmitted by public opinion, the epidemic was very serious in Wuhan, after all, Beijing was far away from Wuhan. This time is January 19.

Departing early the next morning, the whole person was groggy and still dozing off at the gate. Later I remembered that the convenience store in the terminal should have masks, but I was too lazy to find them. I arrived in Chengdu in the afternoon and did not see a few people wearing masks along the way. On the evening of the 20th, the central park near home was still lively.

However, in the 24-hour period from the 20th to the 21st, the latest progress on the epidemic situation is increasing, and the situation is getting worse. Even so, the elderly in the family were at ease. On the evening of the 21st, the mother-in-law ignored the opposition of the whole family and insisted on taking the children out for a walk after dinner. The children were very happy and slid the slides in the Central Park because not many people snatched him.

The time has come for a final word. With the development of the epidemic, the local media in Chengdu have begun to advise the citizens to celebrate the New Year at home, even the giant pandaThe bases have decided to close the door and thank the guests. On the 22nd, the neighborhood committee came to visit our home. I heard that we were from Beijing and left to register. The family finally reached a consensus that apart from going downstairs to take out the trash, they basically stopped going out and spent the Chinese New Year at home. The news of Wuhan ’s closure on the 23rd made the elderly at home accept the fact that nature is now more dangerous than home.

Staying at home did not affect the richness of the home feast. The nearby Yonghui supermarket provided home delivery service, and called for two delivery homes in the middle. In addition to vegetables, a large stack of masks was also required. The delivery speed is fast, but once the delivery brother did not wear a mask. Later, I heard that according to Chengdu regulations, a special garbage collection container was added to the original garbage collection station (point) to collect waste masks. Foreigners entering the community will immediately discard disposable masks.

Mask collection point set in the community

If there is any difference between the outbreak and SARS this time, it is that takeaway was not born during SARS, and the mobile Internet is not as developed as it is today. However, the epidemic has also caused the TV industry, which has experienced declining start-up rates, to regain some dignity. The TV at home is turned on almost all day. The family watched the lively Chinese New Year party on TV, only to find some new year atmosphere. The only discordance is that you will hear ambulances sirens on the street, whistling past.

The Truth of Hardcore Henan

Text | Ming Sun, Xuchang, Henan

This year’s “home festival” is a magic journey.

When I was about to go home by car to celebrate the New Year, I received a “bad news” from a friend who had eaten not long ago-a friend he had met a while ago had gone to Wuhan and had a fever. The news came at 3 am, and after a few hours on the other side, the idea changed from “Nothing happened, this probability will not happen to me” to “In case of misfortune,Infected with the virus, going home to the New Year will hurt relatives and friends.

Then the next morning told the family not to go home for a while, and waited for the friend who had been to Wuhan to come back and make a decision.

Fortunately, the news of the return visit on the 30th day of the New Year came out, and it was determined that it was just a “common cold.” Then immediately drove 900 kilometers and arrived home just before the Spring Festival Gala was about to begin. When I told my parents about the severity of the epidemic, the blessing message popped up by my phone was mixed with many unfamiliar avatars-

“Your Henan is amazing!”

“You Henan is too hardcore!”

“I want to move to Henan.”

A lot of friends have sent “congratulations” in praise of the fast and effective measures made by Henan in this epidemic. In fact, I did n’t know much about the situation at that time. I just saw some “resolute” and “relentless” about Henan this time on social media, but I always felt that it seemed a bit exaggerated, and the actual situation should not be so.

However, when I really took to the streets, I found that netizens were right.

In the city, almost only one entrance and exit are reserved in the residential area, which is guarded by a number of security personnel and residents’ committees. Registered personnel can enter and exit freely, but each time they need to take a temperature measurement and records, and external personnel must not enter. It is strict. Outside vehicles are not allowed to enter, and existing vehicles in the community are strictly registered. Even in small communities, some people will strictly control the door.

For the surrounding villages, it is even more exaggerated.

Each village head is blocked by a tractor or car halfway, and the other half is placed on the table to strictly control the entrance and exit personnel. All vehicles are not allowed to enter and exit freely. They cannot enter from the outside and cannot go inside. People need to register and take their own temperature. Generally speaking, it is impossible to enter without a long-term population in the village, even if there are other gaps in the village , Will also be sealed with vehicles or mounds.

In some places, it is difficult to block all entrances and exits because they are similar to urban villages, so the entire exterior is blocked, leaving only one or two exits.

Speaking of which, the implementation of these measures is top-down, that is, the orders issued by the government, so that each order is really implemented in place, making people realize that the problem is serious, and it is “spreading power.”

In recent years, all industries have been talking about “sinking the market”. From a negative perspective, this part of the market has not yet been developed enough and has great potential. From a positive perspective, this part of the market looks like “solid gold” In fact, due to the characteristics of this group of people, the internal “digestive capacity” is extremely strong, that is, the speed of information transmission is very fast, and the flow effect means benefits.

For example, in our small third- and fourth-tier cities, the population flow is relatively small, and many people in the neighborhood committees and communities know each other, so the danger and prevention of the epidemic will soon be in one place.Small groups spread internally, and the urban population structure is relatively stable. The spread of social media tools such as WeChat is unimaginable. Messages from any group in the city are issued within half an hour. The entire city ’s work, family, Multiple chat groups such as enthusiasts will quickly spread the latest news.

Henan is a large agricultural province. Most cities are in this type of structure. People’s networks and structures make the spread of all kinds of information faster than expected. The prevention and control of this epidemic was firstly the government ’s response in a timely manner, then people ’s understanding in a timely manner, promptly cooperating with requirements and implementing measures, and quickly disseminating correct epidemic information through social media, so that the vast majority of people recognized the seriousness and started from each individual. And thus affect those around you. Even when the author bought sundries outside the smoke hotel, the boss pulled a rope with two electric cars. Everyone shouted that the boss went in to get the goods and the QR code, and came out to let the customer scan the code to pick up the goods. The entire process was kept ventilated. On the street, you can’t step into the store.

When I visited the village, I found that the villagers were not in a panic at all. They set up a few tables of mahjong and banquets, which were very lively, and they had vegetables in the field and meat in the house. Even if the power was off, they all I do n’t think it ’s a big deal, and I ’m even at ease.

Unable to be on the front line, I will do my best with scientific reports

Wen Yuta, Weifang, Shandong

On the train that returned to my hometown on January 20, I have n’t worn a mask, and I do n’t expect Wuhan New Crown Virus to bring about drastic changes to Chinese public opinion in the next 10 days.

I am a journalist who runs the science and technology field. I always stubbornly “squat” some special industries. But no matter what, I am in the media circle. In these ten days, I can clearly see what my media colleagues and friends are doing, and I can feel the real media at this special node in history. The power of action is not disappointed by its waning power.

When I saw Cai Xin ’s deputy editor-in-chief, Teacher Gao Yu, in the circle of friends, they sent out the inexplicable and helplessness they had seen and heard on the front line. My feeling of shame and shame at the time was really like a virus. Spreading from the soles of my feet to the top of my head: I was lying on the sofa with an apple for the New Year, and as a reporter, I did nothing.

A friend persuaded me to ask, what is the fun of running the technology mouth? But I think that if some of the technologies that have been touted in the past are not useful at the moment when they are most needed to contribute, then the commercial value of these technologies is not much.

On the one hand, on January 22, Academician Zhongshan Nan confirmed the possibility of “human-to-human transmission” of the virus, and the Spring Festival is at the highest peak of returning home. The virus carriers have long been scattered all over the country and even around the world. The track data and face data of various bayonets that are usually criticized for “privacy” are the most useful.

On the other hand, medical equipment suppliers and manufacturing industries that produce special medical resources are bound to become the most difficult to be ignored in the current and future national science and technology innovation in this huge rescue campaign.

This is the role science and technology are playing, and the most insignificant force I can contribute as a reporter—compared to front-line combat reporters: report it, let more people see and choose to believe in the power of science and technology .

In my hometown in Shandong, one day before the 30th year of the New Year, I was writing on “蹭蹭”, my parents did n’t say much, just cheering me up, silently “pour tea and pour water”, go silently I bought a mask, and also acted as a horn in the family and sister groups every day. The head is “Children in the media, know how violent this epidemic is.” By the way, they also silently donated money on the donation platform launched by the Internet company.

My dad said that we are all kind people, but we don’t have much ability, we can only do our best to protect our family.

Third, I decided to return to Beijing early because I was afraid that the epidemic would affect or even block the “northbound” railways. As the “panic” seemed to be sweeping and sinking into communities in various cities across the country, my dad was convinced of the rumors that “Beijing instant noodles have been robbed” on the Internet, and stuffed me a bunch of instant noodles and buns.

I dragged a heavy large box and underwent infrared temperature detection at the railway station. I saw a strange sight in the whole station where no one was wearing a mask and there were many people waiting in the lobby, but it was quieter than ever before. Even everyone was polite to each other because they didn’t want to be too close to each other, which made me complete the most orderly train journey of my life.

But worryingThe situation is not without.

Because the supply of masks is extremely tight, many people are wearing substandard cotton masks and sunscreen masks, and even I see that many children wear cartoon cotton masks, even if they are tightly strapped by parents. Entwined several times. This can’t help reminding me of multiple reports of “infection cases starting to age” in recent days.

On the way back to Beijing, my mother has been uneasy about me, and even stated on WeChat several times that she would go north to see me. She has always complained that I am always “not big or small”. I am not a doctor. I still do n’t have a spectrum of the virus. I still run out and “do harm to others”.

“You protect yourself is the greatest contribution to the epidemic.” She told me not to go out, and eat the big bags of buns that were so easy to get to Beijing to “fill your hunger”.

“Do n’t come, you just support my media career. The return home virus spreads more widely, and it ’s easiest to get hit.” I have learned everything.

“If you do well, we will do well.”

On January 31, I did not go out again. But he turned on the computer and started a new round of fighting in his own way.

Every moment is changing dramatically

Text | Zeng Huan, Urumqi, Xinjiang

On the way back from the company ’s annual meeting in Huailai, Hebei on January 19th, our car was playing Marshmello’s music, and the scenery along the way went crazy backwards. We are looking forward to the holiday within reach. Speed forward. Messages about coronavirus appear sporadically on the cell phone pop-up window, staying in the vacuum of time, no one realizes that this is already a reminder that the “safe area” is shrinking.

On the 19th, no one wore a mask or took the temperature at the capital airport where I set off or at the Diwobao airport when I arrived. After 4 hours of flight, I arrived at the port at 1am, crowded with parents who were picking up children, young people waiting for friends, and everything was as usual.

On the 20th, I had a family birthday, and we met in a KTV to celebrate. Now it seems that it is the furthest and the longest stay of my Spring Festival holiday. Many companies have not officially closed that day, but at noon, KTV still has many customers. Then, we went to the mall in the core business district of Urumqi. Various Spring Festival promotions are underway, and the luxury store on the ground floor is not deserted. While drinking coffee in the mall, I heard a boySon was talking to his friends about the epidemic, “You know Wuhan …” A few sentences, his tone was like talking about something far away.

Soon, I knew it wasn’t far away. There was a young boy who was studying for a doctor of medicine in Wuhan. He went back to Wuhan before me. For a few days, he has been eagerly asking everyone to meet together at the time and place in the small group. But suddenly he stopped talking one day and appeared again, saying that the police I came to register and investigate. I need to isolate the whole family for observation and report daily. They are disinfecting the whole family. I do n’t know what will happen in the next few days.

On the street, the number of people wearing masks suddenly increased. Even the father who loved to say “Nothing, we are not here” also obediently put on a mask and didn’t run away. The most dramatic plot took place on January 23rd. In the morning, I went to the pharmacy to buy masks. The pharmacy was still full. When Xinjiang announced the first confirmed case on the same day, the family went to the pharmacy and the masks were sold out. The mall we’ve been to is empty.

Every moment is changing dramatically. On January 26, I was ordered to run out of the community to buy food. With the last stock in the community food store, I could hardly return home. Community staff are guarding the gate of the community. Except for residents who have recorded face recognition in the community, no other persons can enter the community. I called my father and sent me an ID card, but I was not allowed to enter because I was regarded as a “visiting relatives and friends.” I was not allowed to enter until I transferred out the itinerary to prove that I did not return home that day. I was repeatedly instructed to do so. Do not leave the community again. Some big brothers who have non-residents but bought a house in our community were stopped at the door. It seems that they can’t go back by driving out to buy New Year’s goods. They are emotional: “So now let us buy air tickets to Beijing? “!” “It’s useless to get angry with me, and the notice that came out at noon is like this.” How did they deal with it later, I don’t know.

The holiday is coming to an end. My other and my friends are young. They are in the same community and haven’t met yet. We met and shouted a few times in the basement.

There is still not a thin layer of snow on the ground in Urumqi. This has become the last hope for residents of the community to entertain outdoors. Yesterday I saw a snowman outside the window there. Today I saw two outside the window. The child pulled a sledge to find a small slope to slide back and forth, and it had been sliding all afternoon.

Spicy chicken stir-fry, meatball soup, capsicum chicken, lentils noodle flag, we’ll see you next time.

Japanese masks are snapped up

文 | 庄Weihong Odin, Osaka, Japan

I work remotely in Hong Kong, so there is no need to return home in the New Year. I went to Kansai, Japan during the Spring Festival holiday.

Although we have received news of an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan during the trip, some relatives and friends asked us to buy a mask from Japan to return. However, because we are in Japan, which is 2,000 kilometers away from Wuhan, we did not care too much about the epidemic, so not only did we not wear masks, and we did not rush to buy masks to return to China.

Some drugstores have to be restricted because they are sold out: 5 per person

But soon, in Japan, which has only 2 confirmed imported cases, more than 2,000 kilometers away from Wuhan, it is like an enemy. Many masks in drug stores have been looted.

I don’t know if the Japanese see the Hong Kong people and the mainland people so nervous, will they think we are making a big deal and I don’t know if the relevant parties think that this will cause panic. However, I understand that “excessive panic” may lead to serious consequences, but even the side effects of ten “excessive panic” may not be as bad as the consequences of one “carelessness”.

Hope for the best, do your best, plan for the worst, and keep your best mentality. Finally, when I was about to return to China, I put on a mask silently.

Spring Festival in the countryside: bad news from the small world overlaps with bad news from the big world

Text | Zhao Qing, Linyi, Shandong

I went to visit my grandma in the countryside this year.

The day we got home happened to be the year that Grandpa died. In the years before Grandpa’s death, his ears were very bad. We needed to raise the volume to the highest level and shout into his ears to hear them clearly. Grandma’s ears are normal and sometimes act as his microphone.

Grandma’s ears are gone, too. Although the epidemic situation became the main content of this year’s relatives’ conversations, very few were able to hear and understand her.

The day before I left home, I asked my grandma if I knew the virus that was serious now. She said she didn’t know.

I just realized that in her own lonely perspective, an old man may not understand at all, why the festive dinners in previous years are so deserted this year; why the frequency of juniors ’new year greetings this year has decreased significantly; why everyone Sitting around her, she was staring at her cell phone. The screen was a map of China with different shades of red.

She knows more clearly that the 42-year-old son of the next-door family died of cerebral hemorrhage on the 28th day of the first lunar month. According to the custom in the village, the funeral cannot cross the Lunar New Year, so I hurriedly finished the supposedly lasting half a month etiquette. Death is not uncommon in the winter in the northern countryside, but the bad news of a white-haired person giving a dark-haired person to an old man is still strong.

This year, it’s another winter when the bad news loop of the small world overlaps with the bad news loop of the big world.

The voltage in the countryside is unstable, the network is not smooth, and there is no heating. I shuffle to refresh the webpage and get intermittent information about the epidemic situation.

Looking at the rising diagnosis numbers, I know deeply that there are living people behind the numbers. Faced with these figures, there are sadness, loss, and anger. Watching journalist friends from various media go to the front line or interview from the back, writing one by one and providing information one by one, but I can’t do anything. I am anxious.

Perhaps like most people, my anxiety peaked on the thirtieth night. I couldn’t keep watching the Spring Festival Gala. I wanted to take an early break, but kept watching the epidemic information until late at night. In the early morning, I saw a message asking for a psychological counselor. This is my undergraduate major, and I know a lot of professionals. I launched all the psychological resources that I could access, but I met at three or four in the morning.

I ca n’t fulfill my mission as a journalist for a while, but I finally provided a little bit of my own power. As far as I can help. At this point, feel at ease for a moment.

After returning to Beijing in advance, I can finally start choosing topics after I resume the Internet. If you have any epidemic topics or clues related to the epidemic, please feel free to contact me:
