A sudden epidemic has kept many people who should have rested during the Spring Festival staying at their jobs. In special times, they became the most beautiful retrogrades. The epidemic is still spreading. In addition to Wuhan, many cities have strengthened their defenses against the epidemic. All the people’s homes are at home, but life continues.

Everyday necessities must always be delivered to home; in order to reduce public travel, there must always be an online car to provide services; transportation of goods requires cars and people; and those who are blocked outside need a temporary Shelter. During this Spring Festival, many strangers take care of the medical staff who are struggling in the front line, and there are countless delivery staff and courier who take the risk to accept the warmth and turn the online “fueling” into offline action.

Near the Spring Festival, the demand for masks increased rapidly. Chengdu flash delivery brother chose to stay, bought 2,000 masks at their own expense to brothers who also insist on work, and provided free medical supplies for medical staff; the epidemic in Wuhan began to be serious, Didi Wuhan Medical Security Team is still providing shuttle services for medical staff; in order to provide a temporary place for stranded guests and medical staff, a hotel owner advises employees to leave, and he is still insisting on business …

If it’s not an epidemic, we might be accustomed to these services. In fact, they have already become an indispensable part of the normal operation of the city. When we need it most, there are always people who insist against the wind.

Today, we record the stories of these 8 ordinary people.

Contacting medical staff every day, I feel like I’m on the line

Zhang Yu’s 29-year-old Wuhan Jinhan Business Hotel Owner

Our hotel orders were all refunded after the city was closed in Wuhan, leaving only two stranded guests. Considering the risks, I let all the employees go home on vacation, and I stayed alone. Later, I saw news reports that the epidemic in Wuhan was very serious. Medical staff were crying in many small videos. My mother also cried when she saw the video. Because the traffic in the city was also blocked, a nurse walked to Xiehe Hospital for two hours on foot, and I felt very uncomfortable.

Hundreds of hotels on the Internet have launched an activity to provide free accommodation for medical staff. Our hotel is located in Wuhan First Hospital,Among the Wuhan No. 4 Hospital, Tongji Hospital, and Xiehe Hospital, I looked at the registered hospitals that basically do not have our area. It may be because the hospital is near and the risk is relatively high. I decided to open the hotel to medical staff for free.

From the beginning of the new year, some people have moved in. I live here with the medical staff of Xiehe Hospital. A total of 51 rooms are provided, basically one room per person. I own the front desk, sanitation, and open door reception. The workload is not that big, it’s just boring people.

I clean the whole public area and spray disinfectant every day during the day. Because the medical staff’s commute time is not necessarily, there are people in and out of 24 hours, I have to open the door at any time, I have to get up five or six times every night on average. These days I basically stay at the front desk and the lobby. I haven’t slept completely, and have a chance to take a nap. I wore a mask for almost 24 hours, and my ears were “pulled to the front.” I once wore a mask when I was dreaming.

The epidemic situation is very serious, and I am also very worried, but in fact, after the hotel is open for a day or two, I am more and more relieved. Although they are a high-risk group, they did a very good job of protecting me after moving in. The medical staff basically had no communication or contact with me. Sometimes when I saw that I was eating at the front desk, I would take the initiative to stay a little farther, stay in the public area, go to work from the room, and always wear a mask. When I came in, I needed to check my identity to see their credentials. When they gave me, they would disinfect it with their own disinfection water and give it to me.

I often see people coming in the evening. It did n’t take long for me to go up. I ran out again after receiving a phone call. I also heard some people telling them that they would sign up and transfer to the front line of Xiehe Xiyuan. The family did not agree. She said Wuhan Now this situation, everyone has to go to the front line; there is also a couple who are at the Concord Hospital and live in a room. Later, my husband sent me a WeChat message saying that he was going to be transferred to the front line, worried that it would be transmitted to his wife, and wanted to separate one Give him the room.

nearAfter contacting them from a distance, I really feel that they are not easy. After adding these people’s WeChat, I look at the circle of friends they send every day and feel that I am on the front line.

To tell the truth, I am a young laborer who can’t wait to sleep at home. At this time, I can think of it with a little effort. I can see that the epidemic situation in Wuhan is really serious. There are three sides of glass at the entrance of our hotel, and the situation in the whole community can be seen clearly. Every day I can see people in the community being towed out and hearing the sound of ambulances on the road outside. In this case, I feel that I do something better than being at home.

I thought that medical staff could rest well, better protect themselves, and have more energy to treat patients, and the epidemic could end as soon as possible. This Spring Festival, the hotel operation is “worseful”, but for me personally I find it hard but meaningful.

Who are we not on at this time?

Xiong Wei, 36 years old, a driver of the Didi Wuhan Medical Support Team

I am a foreigner, but I settled in Wuhan with my family. Originally, I was going to take a rest and take my family out for travel during the Spring Festival this year. I used to be a real estate agent, and I have been a taxi driver for about a year.

On the 29th day of the lunar month, I received a notification from Didi to recruit a driver, and immediately reported my name. At that time, I was thinking of being able to fulfill some of my social responsibilities. On New Year’s Eve, we went to receive equipment, including goggles, protective clothing, masks, Gloves and so on.

When transporting medical staff, I encountered many touching things. I remember one day I sent a nurse to an isolation ward. When her husband took her to the hospital, tears filled his eyes. He said that they had two children, seven years old and less than two years old. But the nurse said, who should we not attend at this time? Respect for them at that time.

Our convoy has about 200 people. We go out at around 6 am every day, and close work after 10 pm. On average, we receive about 10 orders a day. Medical staff have special taxi lanes on Didi. Before going to work, we have received special training to protect ourselves strictly according to the actual situation. Masks, protective clothing, gloves, and goggles will be worn, and vehicles will be disinfected immediately after contacting a person. Doing so is not only responsible to yourself, but also to medical staff and family members.

Family will of course worry about me. It ’s deceptive to say no, but they also understand. I do n’t sleep at home right now. The platform gives us a place to stay. I even stayed in the hotel at my own expense on the seventh day of the first month. Not all drivers will do the same, but it ’s definitely not good to have elderly people and children like me at home, because we are in contact with high-risk groups every day. Even after the mission is over, we need to be isolated for 14 days before we can go home. I’ve prepared all these before accepting the team mission. You can’t cook in the place you live in. You can either eat bento or instant noodles and snacks every day.

Since there is a need in the society, although I am not a native of Wuhan, Wuhan is my second hometown and I should do my best for my hometown. Some things always need people to do, and many people and things around me are pushing me to continue. Looking at the medical staff getting tired from work every day, I feel that I have the responsibility and obligation to send them home safely.

While the number of confirmed diagnoses in Wuhan is still increasing, medical staff are struggling in the front line, and supplies are still extremely scarce. We are just a small group of people. The hardest work is the front-line nurses and doctors who work in the ward. They are also husbands, dads, sons, daughters, and mothers of other people, and some of them now lack even the most basic protection.

I hope you can get through the difficulties soon. Our family is still waiting for us to go home, thousands of families are still waiting for reunion.

I used to do things for myself, today I do something different

Yang Jun, 33 years old Didi Wuhan Medical Insurance Team Driver

I originally planned to spend the Spring Festival in Wuhan this year.

At 5 pm on January 23, a friend forwarded me a screenshot of the WeChat group of Didi recruiting team drivers and asked me if I received any news. The request was to register before 3:30 pm I didn’t see the news before, but then I went to find Didi and reported it.

When it was first launched,
