With the development of the epidemic, manufacturing companies are rushing to join the mask production team.

But this process is hard to say is smooth. Many companies underestimated the technical content of mask production before they switched to production. As the process progresses, many issues are gradually exposed. Only then did people find that a small mask involves many parts, raw materials, production equipment and qualification standards. All of them work well, which is not much easier than producing other products.

Time is tight and demand is high. A swarm of bees swarmed across the river, feeling the stones. Trouble is almost inevitable.

Disputes

On the evening of February 29th, many people and car groups surrounded the gate of Yinghe Technology.

The visitors are all customers of Yinghe Technology. Most of them are involved in this industry for the first time. They paid a deposit, cleaned the plant, stored meltblown cloth, and started construction as soon as the mask machine arrived. However, as the delivery period approaches, suppliers are dragging on and off, and customer patience is quickly exhausted. Anxious, the group surrounded the factory of Yinghe Technology, trying to “grab” some equipment.

According to an earlier report by China Entrepreneur Magazine, Yinghe Technology’s original main business was lithium battery manufacturing equipment. Since the media revealed on February 4 that Yinghe Technology will urgently produce mask machines, the company can receive an order of one or two hundred units per day. As of February 16, the number of orders has reached nearly 1,600 units. According to industry insiders, At the end of February, the number of orders received by Winco Technology has reached about 2,000. However, the actual output is far from this figure.

Yu Nan is one of Yinghe’s customers. In February, he ordered 8 mask machine production lines for 550,000 yuan each. But so far no one has been obtained.

“This industry has no integrity at all, only recognizes money.” In an interview with China News Weekly, Yu Nan looked a little angry. “Add tens of thousands and immediately tear up the contract and sell it to someone else.”

The reasons for the delay in delivery are complicated, involving various reasons such as technical reserves and upstream industrial chain supply. Yinghe Technology is not alone. Yu Nan’s company also ordered four mask machines from Nuofeng Optoelectronics. The other party promised to deliver the masks before March 4, but there is no news until now.

According to a set of data provided by Shenzhen Medical Association, the mainstream mask machines on the market have an hourly beat of 6,000, and the old models have an hourly beat of 3600-4000. However, many remanufactured manufacturers are far from meeting this requirement.

Yu Nan told China News Weekly that he had visited many mask machine manufacturers in Shenzhen. In his view, there are not many machines that can run smoothly, and almost all have large and small problems.

“Either it is stuck here or it is stuck there, there is basically no smooth running, it is good to be able to produce a few hundred in an hour.” Yu Nan told China News Weekly, “I came from a technical background. Think with them. What would it look like if the owner had no technical background to buy this equipment back? “

But everyone became impatient under the epidemic. Yu Nan also said frankly that at this time, suppliers capable of delivering complete machines can already be called “conscience enterprises”. Some manufacturers deliver a bunch of parts and ask customers to go back and assemble them; moreover, even after downloading drawings online, they declare that they have the ability to make mask machines and start to collect deposits.

In addition to the hardware limitations, the manpower required for the installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of the mask machine is also quite lacking.

Shenzhen Medical Device Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as “Shenzhen Medical Association”) Law Hu Hui explained to China News Weekly Taking Shenzhen as an example, there are only four manufacturing companies, namely, Shenzhen Zhonghai Medical Supplies (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Innoly Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Yuguan Medical Devices Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Tengta Antibacterial Textile Co., Ltd. Hold a valid medical mask product registration certificate. Among them, Yuguan and Tengta have not been involved in the production of masks; Innoline is mainly targeted at overseas markets; only Deep China has experience in producing and selling masks in China. Therefore, the industry’s originally accumulated personnel reserves are not sufficient.

Although the product technology and process of civilian masks and medical masks are similar, most personnel can share them; government departments have also coordinated some of the original mask production companies to send staff to temporary inter-bank companies for technical guidance. But Overall, the contradiction of insufficient technical staff is still outstanding.

Hu Hui explained to China News Weekly that many business owners are too anxious to enter the bureau, thinking that the production technology of masks is simple, that is, “three layers of cloth are pressed together.” The end result is that although things can be made, they can’t meet the requirements of mass production at all.

“For example, this is a bit like a Philips shaver. It is very simple to look at, but many details need to be accumulated, the appearance cannot be seen, and it will be understood only when it is encountered in practice.” Hu Hui said.
