“Northeast China” has always been a topic and area for Internet users to talk about for a long time. The humorous cells and eloquence of Northeast people have also deeply imprinted themselves, but at the same time, Northeast China is also considered to be There is something missing in the Internet field. Few unicorn companies and well-known Internet giants.

Many people in Northeast China have heard of such a paragraph: Start up capital of 500,000, find an organization, such as the Federation of Women’s Federations, set up a fake institution, and then the job seeker receives 100,000, and the monthly salary is about 2000. It recruited 50 people and steadily reached 5 million.

Although it is a paragraph, it also reflects a real situation: it is really not easy to start a business in Northeast China. Frustrated by the current economic situation and natural conditions, the Northeast is not the first choice for entrepreneurs, and even emerging formats such as bike sharing and fresh e-commerce are unable to gain a foothold in the Northeast.

To this end, Tencent Technology talked with the three Northeast entrepreneurs to restore the true Northeast entrepreneurial ecology from the interpretation of talent status, workplace pressure, and policy support.

Entrepreneur: Hu Zhangyou

Business location: Changchun, Jilin

Entrepreneurship project: inside and outside the building

I’m not from Northeast China. I’m from Jiangxi. I studied mechanical engineering. I studied at Jilin University. I graduated in 2004 and graduated in 2007. I stay in school and work as a teacher. Including my presentIn entrepreneurship, I still have my school work, and I have one lesson per week.

Strictly speaking, I started my business in 2009, but at that time it was not a project called “Inside and Out of the Building”. The earliest company was called Youhu Technology. At that time, I was doing R & D outsourcing and technology outsourcing. Later, I felt that a company has no soul without a product, so I began to want to make a product myself. In 2015, when I had such an opportunity, I started to do the community economy. At that time, it was called inside and outside the building. .

At that time, there were real estate companies and real estate companies that wanted to link up the community economy. Of course, they also started out looking for outsourcing projects, but then they did n’t do it. I think it ’s a pity. It went on to do it. My current product form is a WeChat mini-program, and I do n’t do APP, so the cost of APP is still a bit high.

Some people now say that the talent drain in Northeast China is relatively serious. A product requires a designer, a product manager, a project manager, and a programmer. So I am particularly grateful that I have some advantages in it.

First of all, I am a teacher in a university, so I have a special background. Now, some of my core staff are students that I brought out. Secondly, I started from research and development. In terms of research and development strength, I still have some accumulation. Relatively speaking, it is better. This is heritage and continuity.

But aside from the school background, it is more difficult to openly recruit through social channels. Beijing and Shanghai programmers can earn 40,000 to 50,000 monthly salary, but in the Northeast, top programmers are about 10,000.

From the attitude of the government, I feel that the government is still very supportive of us. The government has invested in us, so relatively speaking, I still have some advantages and basics in this regard. Anyway, if you go out and see if this is a government-invested enterprise, you will recognize it to some extent.

Another is the support of office space. In the early days, I rented office buildings and villas as office space. Jilin did not have the concept of shared office. The half-story building where I work now is for me.

With the support of another policy, the government may do a project for us, and set up the entire system inside and outside the building. The next step is to see how to promote it to the whole province.

With the exception of government funds, we have now introduced capital from Beijing because our project has been completed and attracted Beijing’s attention.

But to be straightforward, it ’s difficult for Jilin ’s venture capital institutions to do it.In fact, we also had this idea at the time, but the media we were in did not mean it. At that time, traditions were also facing a cliff-like decline, and they were also trying various transformations. We thought at the time that since we are going to transform, we are actually a business format or a model of transformation. Why don’t you come to us? But at the time we did not get noticed.

When our four shareholders came out of traditional media, the first sentence everyone said to us was: “You guys are really brave!” But at that time, the words “be brave” meant something In fact, it’s quite tiger-headed and very reckless. It really feels like this. Everyone has questions: You are not in the newspaper office, and your abilities are recognized. Why do you want to come out? In fact, the reason I came out was very simple, because the things here can make you work all day.

Of course I also struggle and hesitate because I don’t make money. But you have to believe that the main problem is that I don’t think newspapers can give me an old age. I was under 40 at that time, and traditional media couldn’t provide an old age.

Family members did not support it at the time either. After all, they had to get out of the system and throw away the iron rice bowls that everyone was envious of. But now the scale is getting bigger, and my friends say, “You were really brave in those days.” It should be true to say this now.

The media atmosphere in Northeast China is not strong, and it recruited five fresh graduates and ran all in less than three months.

When we first started, we had been facing no profit for more than a year.

At that time, we were motivated to continue,

  • First of all, because everyone still has his own job, so he doesn’t treat himself that way Much of the economic pressure is on this.

    • The second reason is that the influence of this number is constantly expanding, and family and friends around you suddenly I heard that Changchun Educational Gossip Array is made by us, and I will feel that I am amazing, especially amazing. In particular, we still have an audience. Parents need us at critical moments and appreciate my selfless help. I think this is also the reason why we can always stick to it.

      • Third reason, we have already seen many successful cases of WeChat public account at that time, although not in Changchun Here, but we have seen the huge market economic benefits of the WeChat public account, and at the same time I feel that the decline of paper media is an irreversible trend.

We have about 60 employees now, and the four shareholders are still the same as the original four. There is no change. There are now 14 people on the information platform. They operate a total of 3 WeChat public accounts, as well as a small video team of Douyin and Kuaishou. More than 40 others are doing education and training.

When recruiting, we do feel that “talent is hard to find”. Let me tell you a real feeling. People who were originally from the media in Northeast China are hard to come by. If they have a slightly higher education, they do n’t need 211 or 985. Our HR is extremely unconfident. Can you come

We once encountered it. I recruited a total of five fresh graduates who were about to graduate. They were recruited in April, and all of them were gone by July. It’s not that we are not treated well, but the children have chosen to go to Beijing and Guangzhou.

Our main approach to commercialization is one of programming education training, and the other is the college entrance examination tuition school training, which belongs to the training of art students and children who need tuition for the college entrance examination. We do not make money through this public account. The public account is used to divert the two training programs to be done.

Of course, we also do some corresponding advertisements, but there are relatively strict rules, for example, no more than 52 advertisements a year, and the price is high, that is, in Jilin Province, the price of our home will make many people Are discouraged.

In addition, we have also tried the idea of paying for knowledge, but have not dared to implement it, including the WeChat start gray test subscription number payment function, we also hope to explore it, I think it ’s pure People who are of textual origin are quite fond of making money on their own.

Now our main position is the WeChat public account, neither the applet nor the app is open. When the mini-program just came out, we studied it in detail, but it seemed to need more than 100,000, so it did not continue. With APP, the cost and price of maintenance is higher, so it is not involved.

I have been working as a self-media for almost five years. My own feeling is that the atmosphere of being a self-media in Northeast China is not strong. Many children in Northeast China are more inclined to watch short videos.
