Robert Long is a master of origami in the United States. After pursuing a doctorate at Stanford University, he was a laser physicist at NASA. In 2001, he chose to leave the engineering field and became an origami artist and consultant, turning his hobby into a profession-known as a “full-time origami”.

In his full-time origami career, Robert Lang created hundreds of origami works, including a pterosaur with a wing length of 4.3 meters and a bird with a height of 0.5 mm. His work has been collected by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He broke the ceiling in the field of origami, unlocked the scientific mysteries of origami, and devoted his research spirit to more complex and finer folding techniques.

“All innovations are building connections between different fields, and most people don’t see this connection, let alone how to connect, but I know it!” Robert said, he just gave traditional origami skills New life, making it a useful science.
