In terms of highly self-driving cars, in 2020 Weimar vehicles equipped with L4 autonomous parking systems will be available soon. Baidu Apollo’s Robotaxi project in Changsha, as of the end of December 2019, has accumulated more than 10,000 passenger trips. After 100 km of urban roads in Changsha have been coordinated with vehicle and roads, the efficiency of road sections has increased by 30%.
Baidu Apollo ’s goal is that by 2025, Zhilu Zhixing will complete the digital upgrade, highly autonomous vehicles will achieve regional market applications, and the new traffic information infrastructure will cover major cities and typical scenarios across the country. By 2035, Zhilu Zhixing will complete the network transformation. High-level autonomous vehicles have achieved large-scale commercial use, and new traffic information infrastructure has basically achieved global coverage.
