Everyone is concerned about Ruixing’s stock price and future, but there is a larger group of people who are neglected: ordinary people who used to and still work in Ruixing.
Efforts and efficiency make up every step of Luckin, but nobody cares about their future.
Microstory records the stories of these former and current employees of Ruixing. Among them are baristas, programmers and technicians who transferred from Shenzhou.
In their story, working as a barista at Ruixing did not learn much technology, like a “button without emotion”. Ruixing’s high-pressure policy and camp division made them breathless. Ruixing’s thunder even made them feel a big grievance.

1When I saw the news, my first reaction was “fake news”

The day the company happened, I was discussing technical issues with other colleagues, and suddenly I saw someone lost the link in the group.
Everyone responds first, this is fake news.
Everything in the company looks so normal. Even in the week after the news spread, colleagues should still do what they do, but occasionally they will spontaneously learn some information from the Internet.News about the company.
I joined Ruixing in January this year. At that time, the pneumonia epidemic had not yet spread. Within 20 days, I received hiring notices from three major companies, including Ruixing.
Recruitment positions are system front-end development engineers, whose main job is to develop internal platforms for Ruixing. At that time, Ruixing was a start-up company in the eyes of everyone, and I also felt that the prospect of working here would be more promising.
When interviewing, when the interviewer saw that I had foreign company experience, he specifically asked me, “Are you ready to face hard work again?”
I know he wants to emphasize “Lai Ruixing may often need to work overtime”, and of course give a positive answer.
There was not much overtime afterwards. In general, Ruixing is not much different from other Internet companies. The open work area and clean working environment. More than 70 people in our department work well with each other and do not have too many efficiency problems.

That’s why we chose to ignore it almost immediately. But the event is fermenting so fast that no one can doubt it, and slowly everyone begins to doubt.
Some colleagues around are still unwilling and struggling to survive.
According to Ruixing’s recruitment requirements, employees must pass two probationary periods before they can formally enter the job. I just passed the first trial period of Ruixing, which is just three months. But I chose to leave voluntarily.
I don’t like the feeling that my future is controlled by other reasons.
2After fraudulent exposure, our shop exploded

At the end of 2019, I saw Ruixing recruiting a large number of people in the same city in 58. Before they expanded, they also went to my school to recruit part-time jobs. Many seniors and sisters said that they were reliable, so I decided to try it.
After passing the recipe assessment, I also passed the barista certification, and the salary was 21.5 yuan per hour.

At the end of December, those colleagues who had not signed the contract were also merged into Ruixing, and everyone arranged another re-sign, and the seniority was counted from the beginning.
When signing for the second time, I think anyway, there are many new projects within the company. There are many challenges and I can make progress myself.
But I didn’t expect it to become 996, and the other benefits were gone.

During the layoffs this year, HR went to some colleagues in our department to read the separation notice.
I learned later that because he re-signed the contract, he did not take a long time in the job, and he won’t receive much compensation if he was laid off.
Different treatment of employees of different companies in Shenzhou and Ruixing is obvious.
After Ruixing Lightning went public, it recruited a group of people whose wages were artificially high.
In March of this year, no one from the old Shenzhou won the year-end award, but all those who were recruited by Ruixing were issued. Immediately afterwards, he exposed himself to falsify.
The personnel optimization will begin immediately in May. It may be because of fear of the situation of employee rights protection when Xiamen UCAR Group layoffs. The first batch of people did not have that much.
But this time the layoffs are dominated by people who have been transferred from China, most of them haven’t reached one year, so n+1 can’t actually get much money. It can only be said that the capitalists are really careful.
4High-level mess, we are innocent

A few days ago, it happened to be the first anniversary of my work at Ruixing. This year was like a roller coaster, with ups and downs.
I am worried about internal and external problems, so I should resign without hesitation, but the internal state of the company is still in order, which is no different from the past.
Even now, there are still masks in the company. There are snacks every moment, new coffee products are free, and the relationship between colleagues is harmonious.
My heart is confused. Resigning now is equivalent to naked resignation.It is a combination of various raw materials, there is not much room for play.
In August 2019, Ruixing’s stock price soared, and the speed of opening stores increased, and I couldn’t bear to leave.

I feel that Ruixing is not only a black kiln factory, but also a sweatshop. Fortunately, I have gone ashore and become the one who mocks them.

My family is in a third-tier city in Jiangsu. The epidemic has caused heavy losses in the catering industry. It is even more difficult to find a secure job in the future.
At the time, I saw that Ruixing was one of the few companies that could guarantee five insurances and one gold. When I saw them recruiting full-time baristas, I voted for my resume. Of course, there are also selfishness, want to steal the teacher, and later open a coffee shop.
Unexpectedly, when I came in, I discovered that “the key machine without emotion” is the best description for us.
The so-called barista actually only needs to memorize the operation manual to know the differentThe taste has been transformed by instant coffee. When they mentioned coffee, they thought of the taste of instant coffee.
Instant coffee has a strong oily taste. It will stay in the mouth for a long time, making people feel thirsty. The aroma of instant coffee may be stronger, but it is relatively simple and lacks a sense of hierarchy. Some flavors in brewed coffee, such as nuts and flowers, cannot be imitated by instant coffee.
Even if you are a barista, there is no guarantee that the coffee you make will always taste the same. I have been making coffee for nearly 20 years, and it is still a good time to make coffee. When it is not good, the coffee is even worse.
If you can’t understand the small differences, you can’t really understand the coffee, let alone why it’s so small, but it costs more than 10 yuan.
Really good coffee, it is difficult to standardize. To open a coffee shop to make money, the location must be placed in a luxurious office building or a business center, where there is no space for business or solitude. It sells coffee in name, but it actually sells space.

In a cup of coffee, space occupies most of the cost. To make money, you can only compress the cost of coffee. In this chain, coffee is just a tool for capital to help capital raise land prices.
Capital disturbs the taste of coffee, so many coffee shops use butter cream as a technology. Because it’s easy to learn, and it’s a gimmick, but add fat to the coffee, how do you drink this coffee?
Ruixing was never a coffee company because it never thought about how to make a good cup of coffee.
