Leroy turned into the kitchen, mother was busy preparing dinner. His birthday is coming. He thought that this was the best time to tell his mother what he wanted.
“Mom, this birthday, I want a bicycle.”
Le Roy often makes trouble. Whether at school or at home, he has caused a lot of trouble.
“Should you get a bicycle for your birthday?” Mom asked.
   “Of course.” Leroy responded.
Mum thought for a while and decided to ask Leroy to review what they have done in the past year: “Leroy, go back to your room, think about your performance this year, and write to God Letter, tell him why you should get a bicycle for your birthday.”
Leroy turned back to the room with a heavy footstep and sat down to write a letter to God:
”Dear God, this year, I have always been a very obedient good boy. I want a bicycle as a birthday gift. I want a red one. Your friend, Le Roy.”
Le Roy is not telling the truth. This year, he is not obedient, always provoke trouble. He tore off the letter and wrote another one:
“Dear God, I am your friend Leroy. This year, I am a very obedient child. I want a red bicycle As a birthday gift. Thank you. Your friend, Leroy.”
This is not true. So he tore off the second letter and wrote another one:
“Dear God, this year, I am a good child. This birthday, I really want a red bicycle. Le Roy.”
Le Roy knew that this letter could not be sent to God. He wrote a fourth letter:
“Dear God, I know that I have not been an obedient child this year. I am sorry for this. As long as you give me a red bicycle as a birthday gift , I will become a good boy obedient. Please! Thank you. Le Roy.”
Le Roy thinks that even if he is telling the truth, he may not necessarily get a bicycle. His mood is very bad. He went downstairs and told his mother that he was going to church. Mom thought her plan had an effect.
Le Roy came to the church quietly, walked up to the altar, and saw no one around, then bent down to pick up a statue of the Virgin Mary. He hid the statue under his shirt, ran out of the church, and hurried into his room.
Leroy closed the door, spread out the letter paper, and wrote the fifth letter to God:
“God, your mother is in my hands. If you want to see her again, give it to me A bicycle. You know who I am.”
