Before the liberation, there was a superstitious industry in our hometown called Duan Gong, that is, dancing. At that time someone in the countryside was sick, so he asked Duan Gong to come and catch ghosts. When I was a kid, I liked to watch dancing.

Duan Gong hung some weird idols on the wall, lighting incense candles, beating drums and small gongs, and he didn’t know what he was singing. Then put on the vestments, hold tokens in hand, and draw symbols to drive away ghosts.

I remember that the old man told another story about ghosts and ghosts. One night, Duan Gong drove ghosts home, about three hours later (Duan Gong did everything at night), he knew There are two lights on one’s shoulders. Ghosts dare not get close when the lights are on, but they can’t look back. The lights go out when they turn around. Therefore, he walked straight forward, still singing Sichuan Opera and boldly. Unexpectedly, he kicked a stone, squatted forward, and turned a somersault. I thought this was over, the light on his shoulders must have gone out. He looked back and saw two giant ghosts, and said to him with fangs and claws: You usually pretend to be fools against us and cheat people’s money. Let’s go to the Yincao Difu and taste the taste of being caught. Duan Gong hurriedly knelt on the ground, kowtow to tell Rao like garlic: Grandpa Ghost! Lord Ghost! Go around me! I am sorry for the old and the younger. I will decide to wash my hands and quit in the future. The money I swindled will be given to you. The two giant ghosts said: Good! Whatever you say, you will never take it lightly in the future. Taking the money, the two ghosts flew away.
