China’s Internet has entered the link of stockpiling, but mobile reading has maintained rapid growth. According to the 2019 Mobile Reading Industry Insight Report released by the Mob Research Institute, in June 2019, the number of monthly active users in the mobile e-book reading industry reached 310 million, a year-on-year increase of 35.4%. Its growth mainly comes from free reading. The data shows that in June this year, the number of paid reading users reached 380 million, a slight decrease from the 400 million in the same period of last year; the number of free-reading users reached 190 million, a significant increase from the 0.7 million in the same period last year.
