Data source: Tencent new crown pneumonia epidemic tracking in real time

As of 7:00 on February 3, there were 16,615 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia nationwide and 5,142 confirmed cases in Wuhan. According to a press conference on the epidemic situation in Hubei Province on January 31, as of 2400 on the 30th, more than 60,000 medical workers in Wuhan participated in the treatment; a total of 42 medical teams supported Wuhan and 4,599 medical staff.

Volunteer driver for Wuhan 123 team

In Wuhan after the closure of the city, the transportation system was shut down. Many medical staff can only walk or bike to work. The supply of preventive and control materials for frontline medical care is also very tight. I ca n’t bear to see the hardship of the anti-epidemic fighters. This city is the most common Citizens acted.

The usual workers, students, white-collar workers, and small businesses, under the pressure of the spread of the plague, have spontaneously become volunteers for the convoy: free transfer of medical staff to and from work; or find ways to pull scarce supplies to first-line hospitals, community.

Volunteers’ protective equipment is very basic. Sometimes they get busy and rotate from morning to night. No one receives a penny.

A reader in Wuhan learned about these people. As early as we contacted Captain Huang Xiaomin of Wuhan 123 Team and Wuhan Qingshan Volunteer Team, they also recommended volunteers who were very impressed.

“There is a guy born in the post-90s who sees him everywhere”, “You must interview the old martial artist who engaged in supplies, although I only know a few days, I really admire him …”

Interviewing these volunteers is very difficult, because most of the time they are on the road, it is often night at the end of their work, and sometimes they have a telephone interview for a while, and they say sorry to go to receive medical staff or send supplies.

“Wuhan Come” by team volunteers

A volunteer from the convoy said, “I received a grandpa at the age of 72. The military doctor was rehired back to the community hospital. He walked past Jiang to work in the morning for two hours. He said he was confident of winning the battle He’s not afraid. So I’m not afraid. Seeing the lights on the way home, Wuhan, come on. “

The team leader Huang Xiaomin took a nurse who had just finished the 24-hour shift

“We transfer about 200 doctors to work every day.”

Huang Xiaomin 38 years old

Occupation: Commercial Real Estate Marketing

Outbreak period: Wuhan “123 rescue convoy”

After the captain closed in Wuhan on January 23, I formed a 123 rescue convoy. Because now the only thing I can do is drive the medical staff to work. From the company to my house, I will pass 4 hospitals. A few days before the city was closed, I often saw that some medical staff had difficulty stopping the car after the night shift. I thought at the time that I could actually do it.

Huang Xiaomin ’s hand-drawn pick-up sign on January 23

On the 23rd, the transportation system in Wuhan was shut down. I quickly thought about how they would go to work? That night, a “Wuhan Doctor Travel Mutual Aid Group” was set up on WeChat to find colleagues and classmates as volunteer drivers, and then more and more strangers joined.

123 Girl Volunteer Drivers in the Convoy

Now the team has more than 90 drivers, the youngest is a boy born in 1997, and 1/10 are female drivers. We transfer about 200 doctors to and from work every day.

The name “Team 123” is because of the date of closure, andBecause “1, 2, 3!” Is like a signal to start action, it is faster. Later, we found that it was quite a homonym with the “Guanguan” in Wuhan dialect.

I took an order on the night of the 23rd. At first I did n’t have a hat and goggles. I put on a swimming cap and goggles, and then a young nurse gave me a splash mask. Fortunately, my WeChat has more than 1,000 friends. After the circle of friends sent the message, the volunteers from across the country sent me some protective clothing, masks, and a small convenience store in Wuhan. They entered 84 For the shipment of disinfectant, we reserved two cases for us. We can say that it is “starting a car and relying on picking up equipment.”

Each of us receives 3-5 orders a day. I receive 10 orders a day on the most. Usually bring some dry food to eat in the car, do not dare to drink more water, going to the toilet is very inconvenient.

A 62-year-old reemployed doctor told me that he had to ride a bike for 2 hours and 15 minutes to work before our fleet picked up and dropped off.

Many nurses are actually post-95 children. A nurse on duty at the ICU in 1996, she worked the night shift at 7 am and fell asleep in my car. Fortunately, I knew where she lived.

A doctor asked us to pick up his father. His father is also a doctor. They are going to different hospital services. He cannot take care of his father to work.

Rejected payment in WeChat group

For protection, we require doctors and drivers to talk as little as possible, and everyone is a stranger. The car is always quiet. I’ll talk to them when I wait for the red light. I asked a nurse when the epidemic was over. What did she want to do most? She said she wanted to spit and sleep for another 48 hours.

A young Xiehe Hospital nurse, she is not in the Department of Respiratory Diseases or Infectious Diseases.

When a lot of doctors and nurses get out of the car, they directly drop 100 yuan of cash, or send a red envelope on WeChat. We do n’t accept it, and sometimes I pour them a red envelope.

My wife took her 1-year-old child back to Huangshi’s hometown to celebrate Chinese New Year before closing the city. I told her she wanted to be a team, and she was silent for a few minutes. Then I told her about the status of many medical staff, and I had to wait for a shuttle bus overnight. There was only a shuttle bus at the big hospital. The community health service center didn’t … Then she returned to me: go and protect yourself.

123 team volunteers

Some drivers came out from hiding their wives. My classmate asked me to send a circle of friends. Do not mention him. He told his wife that he was out to play Mahjong. Mahjong was very healthy, or went fishing.

Yesterday, I had a ticket from Wuhan Eighth Hospital to Jiangxia. The whole journey was 30 kilometers. I saw that I was still worried that no one would pick up the ticket, but soon the driver said, “No one, I’ll go!”

In addition to the driver, our group also has 20 logistic volunteers. They collect travel information of medical care and drivers every day, coordinate materials, and find ways to send in donated materials. They are often busy from morning to one or two in the morning.

Volunteers hold team logo

I live with my parents now, and my home is a transit point. We received 300 masks and 300 protective clothing, but the 1000 goggles donated by netizens were stuck on the road. The person who distributes the supplies, checks their 3 certificates and 1 list (identity card, driving license, driving license, insurance policy), and then issues the supplies. Everyone wore a mask and didn’t recognize each other. Everyone said very little but moved quickly.

Friends also designed the team logo for the team, and the logistics volunteers printed it out. Everyone went to pick it up and posted it under the windshield of the car. When the traffic police saw our sign, it would be released.

There are more stories around us. There is a newly-married couple. The newly renovated wedding room is in the neighborhood near Houhu Central Hospital. They gave the new house to the medical staff for free. I don’t think I can do this.

Huang Xiaomin’s circle of friends

For ventilation, our windows are open all the time. Wuhan is very cold in the early morning, and it is often minus 1 ℃. Drivers wear protective clothing and gloves and sweat easily. The symptoms of a cold, I started to cough.

No. 28 was the outbreak period. There were 800 new diagnoses in Wuhan. I felt particularly stressed. I cried twice because the team was initiated by me, but I could n’t take responsibility for the safety of the volunteers ’lives. So I will write an initiative. We will suspend orders from January 29th. When we can obtain protective suits of en14126type4 level and N95 masks, we will continue to pick up medical staff if the city still needs us.

Delivering scarce supplies to the hospital

But after the 29th, our fleet did not stop, mainly to help transport goods to the front line. I also tried to buy some through friends. The supplies were really in short supply. I sent all the non-medical goggles. The doctor sent a message saying that even a piece of glass was needed.

Wuhan medical care in homemade protective masks

At 4 pm on January 30th, I received 10 boxes of alcohol. Many doctors and nurses came to me after sending out a circle of friends, and they said they needed it. One of the eight hospitals also came to see me. I wondered if your eight hospitals were mainly doing anorectal surgery. He said that it is now a designated hospital. Then they sent a picture of their doctors using the folder as a protective mask. I couldn’t hold my eyes when I saw this picture, and cried.

My stress is Shanda University. On the one hand, I am afraid that volunteers will get sick, on the other hand, I am afraid of illness at home, and on the other hand, I am afraid that medical resources are insufficient.

When the epidemic passed, I would most like to see my family and hug my children.

“The first thing I open my eyes every day is to think about where to go for supplies.”

Wu Yaoguang 33 years old

Occupation: Tattooist

Outbreak period: raising and transporting materials for Wuhan

I am the chairman of the Hubei Branch of the Chinese Tattoo Association. I am from Shaanxi. I have married a wife in Wuhan and lived in Wuhan for many years. I usually open a tattoo studio.

The tattooist’s career is quite awkward. Many people think it is a bad element. So after the city was closed, the “Qingshan District Epidemic Prevention and Control Volunteer Team” accepted my application to join, and I was quite happy.

Wu Yaoguang signs up for volunteers for epidemic prevention and control in Qingshan District

I soon discovered that both the medical care and the volunteers were very lacking in protective materials. On January 25th, with the support of Teacher Tianyou, the president of the Chinese Tattoo Association, I raised funds from tattoo teachers across the country for the first time I raised 77250 yuan, and I donated 10,000 yuan. All the money was used to buy scarce supplies.

There are several main ways to buy materials. Go to some mask manufacturing factories around Wuhan, but now most of them have been taken over by the government. This is also a good thing. There is also a large group of materials for the volunteer team. The manufacturers will send in their materials and certificates, and the doctors are also in the group. They saw that they could be used, and we bought and shipped them. The other is to find second-hand merchants who have hoarded supplies.

Chinese food in transit

After buying the materials, they will be delivered to the hospital departments in need as soon as possible. Some materials do not meet medical standards, so we donate to the community, volunteers, front-line reporters, police brigades and so on.

For example, N95 masks and goggles were given to the Wuchang Branch of the Wuhan Public Security Bureau, because the police of the branch were stationed at Wuhan No. 7 Hospital. They only have some medical surgical masks, and protective clothing is alternately worn, which is not enough at all. I know that some of them have been suspected of infection and self-isolated at home.

Remove the mask to Zhongnan Hospital late at night

Start early the next morning, purchase disinfectant

On the evening of the 31st, I and other volunteers ran to haggle among the various mask manufacturers. Medical-specific masks cost 1.8 yuan each, and it was always early in the morning of February 1. I finally got the goods and drove overnight. I sent 40,000 masks to Wuhan Zhongnan Hospital. I also bought tens of thousands of masks with a unit price of 1.25 yuan, which can be used by non-frontline personnel.

When I got home tonight, I found a sofa and lay down. I slept for 3 hours. I went to Xiantao to buy on the morning of February 1st. I bought 500 kg of alcohol and 50 kg of disinfectant. 15 pounds of alcohol and 20 pounds of disinfectant were sent to the Third Hospital and Jinyintan Hospital … and distributed to various communities. Now, (Interview was on February 1st) More than 9 pm) has all gone empty.

My biggest feeling is that for each hospital, delivering things to the hospital is a charcoal in the snow. The medical treatment was also very good to me. Stoppering the small bottle of disinfectant, only allowed me to stand outside the gate and wait for them to come over to get it, the parents of the doctor.

Wu Yaoguang and leaders discuss the procurement of medical team materials

Because I am an authentic baby from Shaanxi, I am very excited to see the Shaanxi medical team coming. On the 29th, I went to their hotel to see if there was anything I could do. Although I lived in the hotel, I still took care of daily necessities. Where I ca n’t, I discussed with the leader of the medical team to see what they lacked, purchased laundry detergent, basins, eye drops, and sent them all.

These days are usually before 4am in the morning, make a list of the supplies, wake up at 7 or 8 in the morning and start looking for supplies, buy the supplies at noon, contact the hospitals and communities you need to start delivering .

In fact, I do n’t have a driver ’s license myself. The volunteers of the team transported me with me. These local people in Wuhan moved me and I can see the very united side of Wuhan. The first thing I do every time I open my eyes is where I want to go today to buy supplies, which hospitals to send to, and I dream of buying a mask to wake up with a smile.

Now that our material cart is parked on the side of the road, you call and we just take a break. But let ’s talk about it here first. The group said that there are 30 pounds of alcohol, and we have to set out quickly to buy it back.

“I helped Lao Wu drive supplies and the doctor received it as a baby.”

Li Feng, 27 years old

Occupation: Self-employed, opened Ziyan Baiweiji franchise store in Wuhan

Outbreak period: Volunteer drivers

Before the epidemic broke out, I went to travel because I did n’t know the situation. On January 19, I broke my right rib when skiing in Shennongjia, Hubei. On the 21st, I returned to Wuhan to see the news and start reporting., I just want to do something.

After closing the city, a friend who opened a special car said that the government would allocate 2-3 cars to each large community, and 800 yuan a day to be a driver, and asked me if I would go. But I do n’t want to do this, I joined two volunteer groups, one is to pick up medical staff, and the other is Lao Wu (武耀光) Pick-up supplies.

Volunteer Li Feng

Because the rib fracture has not been repaired, I will feel pain after driving for a long time, so I ca n’t run outside Wuhan, I ca n’t carry heavy objects, I can only do more in Wuhan.

The supplies are really in short supply. On the afternoon of January 30, Lao Wu and I went to Qingshan District Children’s Hospital to send 15 goggles, because there were a group of doctors going to the front line. The doctors saw that they were all baby. I’m happy, and please ask us to find some more alcohol.

And Wuhan citizens volunteer to cut hair for medical staff

Currently, there are 357 volunteers for medical treatment, about 1/4 are drivers, and the rest are medical care. They will send out demand in the group, but drivers who are actively taking ordersMay be only five or six, if the long distance list response is even slower.

On January 28, I went to Jiangxia to pick up a young nurse to the hospital in Qingshan District, and went back and forth for more than 60 kilometers. There was no response from the appointment form for dozens of minutes. I picked it up. She was home to move daily necessities. Because the hospital helped them find the hotel.

On January 29th, a nurse who was in her 30s sent home was sent home. She asked me to wait downstairs, and she went to the hospital again. Because of self-isolation, she and her daughter were unable to meet at home.

Medical staff don’t have their own time. They can fall asleep immediately after sitting in the car.

Li Feng drying out the equipment

In the beginning, the only protection was the 3 N95 masks I took with my friends. Each one was reused after disinfection. It can be used for 3 days. Today I removed the last mask and sent a circle of friends for help. I have one and can use it for another 3 days. The protective clothing that Lao Wu and I bought was given to the hospital because of a small quantity, and I didn’t want to leave one.

I also isolate myself at home. First, I need to disinfect the whole body when I go home. My mother cooks and waits for them to return to the room. After that, I take out disposable chopsticks to pick up vegetables and go back to my room.

When driving, I mainly think about where to go next, preferably on the road. This matter also cured my biological clock. I usually slept until more than 10 o’clock, and then went to my shop to see, but recently I got up at 6 o’clock every day.

Now it ’s 9:30 pm, I ’ll stop here. I ’ll go out to pick up two doctors in a while, one at 10 o’clock and one at 12 o’clock. I ’m going to pick one up at 6 o’clock tomorrow morning In Hankou, the distance is quite long.

Li Yaoxing, a volunteer from Qingshan District

“Other volunteers looked at me like a child and asked me how old I was. I said I was born in 1999.”

Li Yaoxing is 21 years old

Occupation: College students in Wuhan

Outbreak period: Volunteers from Qingshan District

My home is in Qingshan District, Wuhan, and I am also studying at Wuhan University. I got my driving license half a year ago. Seeing the news of volunteers organized by the Youth League Committee of Qingshan District, I signed up for free transfer of medical staff. My parents were always worried. Before going out, my mother would watch me wear a mask and spray me with alcohol.

My dad is a veteran. He has an A2 driver ’s license that he now needs. He also wanted to participate, but he was isolated at home because of some colds.

Outside the window by Li Yaoxing

Remember that the first order was received on January 25th. It was a nurse who finished the shift at Wuhan Iron and Steel General Hospital. It rained lightly at 9 pm. She said that fortunately I was willing to come, otherwise she would have to walk down the street in the rain See if there is a car.

I picked up a 97-year-old nurse at 7 am. She got out of the car and sent me a message saying, “I want to buy you a breakfast, but I’m afraid of delaying your time.” This simple communication makes me feel very warm.

The busiest day is to go to Caidian District warehouse to pick up supplies. There are a thousand boxes of water, masks, gloves, etc. When carrying, other volunteers looked at me like a child and asked me how old I was. of.

Outside the window by Li Yaoxing

A female doctor in her 40s. After closing the city, she will commute to work by bicycle for 40 minutes. When I picked her up, she brought me alcohol, masks and Lianhua Qingwen capsules. Later, the mother of my college roommate appeared to have symptoms of infection and quarantined herself at home, but could not disinfect it anywhere. I thought of this female doctor. After she learned, she even gave us alcohol at home.

Li Yaoxing’s chat with university roommates, split call to Wuhan Hospital

On January 27th, the roommate’s mother became more serious. The roommate bought an oxygen generator. His mother had to rely on oxygen to breathe, and he could n’t stop. His lips went black. On January 29th, they received a notice from the community office. During the nucleic acid test in Hanyang Hospital, the nurse informed that the results could be obtained after 6 hours, but no notification has been received since then, and the diagnosis has not been confirmed.

The roommate’s mother appeared unconscious on the 30th and was sent to Hanyang Hospital for rescue. The person was stable, but was told that she could not be hospitalized.

He and his dad ran more than 10 hospitals, and none of them were able to go to hospital. Now he and his dad both have symptoms of infection. Because there is a 14-year-old sister in the family, he and dad are afraid to go home and sleep on the car. At two or three in the morning on January 31, my roommate and I made separate phone calls to all hospitals in Wuhan, which was useless.

Outside the window by Li Yaoxing

The situation of my roommate is not unique in Wuhan, and there are many more.

On the way to pick up medical staff, I have been circulating the song “Synchronized Winter” by Leslie Cheung in the car. “If you take an umbrella, the wind will be very fierce. The other day I think of this time as not freezing. “

I hope it is like the end of the lyrics, “Sadness should not be said.”

Vulcan Mountain Hospital is listed, the picture comes from the Internet

On February 2, Wuhan Vulcan Mountain Hospital was officially listed, and the treatment of patients with new-type coronavirus pneumonia began today, which marked a new stage in the fight against the epidemic.

For more than ten days in Wuhan ’s closure, the light of humanity on ordinary citizens is moving. They are stung by life but not humble. They also suffer frustration and strive to shine.

A stand firmly with everyone to witness the greatness of these ordinary people, and continue to record the faint and warm light in the epidemic.

We look forward to the spring day of 2020, and to the moment when the epidemic is over.
