Vancouver local time in the morning of May 27th (Beijing time, 28th morning), the High Court of British Columbia, Canada announced the first verdict of Meng Wanzhou ’s extradition case, and found Huawei ’s vice chairman and chief financial officer Meng Evening boat meets the “double crime” standard, so her extradition case will continue to be tried, and Ms. Meng Wanzhou will stay in Canada to participate in the later hearings and wait for the new trial results.

Regarding this, Huawei issued the following statement:

We are disappointed with the decision of the British Columbia High Court. We have always believed that Ms. Meng is innocent, and we will continue to support Ms. Meng in seeking a fair judgment and freedom.

We hope that Canada ’s judicial system will eventually return Ms. Meng innocently. Ms. Meng ’s team of lawyers will make unremitting efforts to ensure justice is extended.
